A Girl and Her Dog, Sapa, Vietnam, 2006

I was walking in Sapa, a hill town built by the French as a place to cool off in northern Vietnam, and I saw this young lady playing with her dog, who was prancing around having fun. When she saw that I wanted to photograph them, she got the dog to calm down and pose, too. I like the way that she is holding the side of its head and the way that it's looking at me.
