Had a fantastic shoot with David at Shutter House!

Pre-comms were spot on and we had discussed some outfit colours/ideas beforehand to suit the gels David would be using on the day.

David is a great photographer and a true perfectionist. He really works hard to make sure the lighting is just right to ensure we get the best results possible.

We worked through a number of sets and I was really pleased with the results on the back of the camera, we nailed some awesome shots.

Overall David is just a great guy, friendly, relaxed but also knows what he's doing and defintley delivers. I'm really looking forward to seeing the final edits :)

Highly recommended & would love the opportunity to shoot with him again.

Had an absolutely amazing first shoot with David!

I had kept an eye on his work for ages as they are absolutely beautiful and of course COLOURS!

Pre-comms were great and he was able to match colour ideas that went with the outfits I was bringing. The pictures speak for themselves! Really friendly and put me at complete ease throughout the shoot!

The shoot was super technical with the lighting and David wasn’t joking when he said it’s a ‘science’ to work out the colours and get them in the correct places & intensity. But the shots came out really great!

So yes, a great shoot & can’t wait to work again with such creative, lovely human! Highly recommended!! 5*****

What a great guy!

Had the pleasure of working with David few days ago and I am already thinking of another shooting together.

David was well prepared and pretty relaxed, creative and easy to get on with. He is a perfectionist when it comes to lighting and we have made some awesome images.

I have my first shoot with David and I wasn’t disappointed.

David came out to find me at the studio and was friendly from the get go. He was very relaxed and talked through the plan of the day before we got started.

We shop for a few hours using different lighting and he was fast changing the set up and talked us through what he was doing too.

David comes 100% recommended by me and I would definitely love to work with him again myself.

The shoot was relaxed, David is a perfectionist with the lights, which is great and he had amazing ideas.

Just got home from an AMAZING shoot with David! Gels have got to be one of my favourite things to shoot and David absolutely nailed it! As is apparent from the quality of his work - David is a first class photographer who really understands the use of light. The shots on the back of the camera were fantastic - we got some crackers! On top of all that the whole shoot was hugely enjoyable and relaxing, due to David being so easy to get on with and work with, and he also put the Prodigy on so clearly he's one of the good ones :D

Definitely one of the best shoots I've ever had! We had a bit of a bumpy start with timings but we more than made up for it in smooth sailing for the rest of the shoot. Dave is such a phenomenal and knowledgeable photographer, it really makes me work twice as hard when I see the amazing lighting he has set up, and how beautifully his concept is coming out on screen. We were taking one shot after another and did hundreds of long exposures - and every other shot felt like a winner!

It's amazing to work so well with someone and get so into the flow with them; David really let me explore and get creative with my LED hula-hoop's hundreds of presets and colours, and was incredibly patient in waiting for me to fiddle with it. I had an absolute blast despite the rain and miserable weather... And the edits I've seen are 100% draw-dropping. Thank you so much David for having me again!

Had an amazing shoot on Saturday.

Dave sent me full details explaining exactly what he wanted to achieve from lighting to outfits.

He went through each set in full detail, its refreshing to see a photographer with so much passion & drive.

This continued throughout the shoot ensuring he had the set up absolutely perfect & the results show, we have some amazing images.

Dave makes you feel very relaxed & is more than happy to let you freestlye your posing.

I loved the fact Dave shows you each picture on his laptop as you work through the set.

Super organised, great communication, amazing detail & a very nice photographer to shoot qith, I can not recommend Dave enough.

I had the absolute pleasure of getting to work with David yesterday!

David was clear in his comms with what he wanted to achieve, and sent me a mood board which gave me an idea of what to expect. David was fun to work with and easy to talk to, and the time flew by!

I was extremely impressed by David’s creativity and knowledge when it came to lighting, he knew what gels complimented both each other as well as my skin tone, and we were able to create some really awesome images!

I highly recommend working with David, I loved working with him and I hope we can book another shoot in soon! :)

David is super professional and easy going, above it all he's super creative; we created some superb images with a stunning; new to me lighting set up. It was a pleasure to meet the absolutely lovely Dave on our first shoot together, and to leave him his very first reference is an honour! He is a true gent - all throughout comms he was clear, so that I knew exactly what was going on and what to expect from our shoot, and he was no different in person.

It's beautiful to work with a photographer who knows what they want to create - as well as actually being able to execute it. I was extremely impressed with Dave's technical knowledge in the realms of photography, particularly where it pertains to camera settings and studio lighting. The many sessions Dave has spent under the tutelage of Mr Jake Hicks really shines through in everything he does! Yet still he was very open to my suggestions.

Though I was quite ill on our shoot (my boyfriend did tell me to cancel but I never do!), Dave made me feel at ease and ensured that we worked at my pace, which was really important. Thanks to his consideration, we were still able to create some super stunning images, and nailed each of the three sets so quickly that we ended up being done early! Now that's good teamwork :)

Dave is somewhat new to photography, but, had I not known this, I could have easily mistaken him for a longtime pro. He has an easy attitude and familiarity around models which clearly stems from his intelligent decision to learn from a professional, rather than just jumping in to the confusing whirlpool of photography without a life-raft. It's great to work with such a brilliant conversationalist; it really puts a model at ease!

We had scarcely taken the last shot when we were already planning our next shoot together, part 2 due to take place in September. Needless to say, I loved working with Dave and we will definitively be working together again.

He's really love guy who already knows so much about photography, and I could not recommend him more.
