Although in my early 50's, I'm very new to photography I purchased a DSLR on a whim a few year's ago. I'm enjoying it, loving learning and gaining experience. I have been on a number of courses now at the Nikon School in London and done a few studio day shoots. I want to do more courses and studio days, plus also look for other ways to gain experience.

I particularly like to shoot pictures of people and I really want to build a good portfolio. I've suffered with a difficulty in people not wanting their picture taken because they feel they don't look good. I'm hoping a portfolio will show off my work and maybe give people confidence to allow me to take photographs of them.
