I had a first great shoot with Gary during my scottish tour at the beginning of the month.

Pre communication was great. On the day he collected me from the station and we shot at his home studio. The shoot went smooth. We produced lots of different images using his studio set up and also the natural window light.

Gary is professional and friendly. I felt comfortable and I loved the images we created. I can't wait to see the final results!

I had an incredible photoshoot experience with Gary last Friday. Not only is he a talented photographer, but he's also a wonderful person to work with. The communication before and after the shoot was seamless, and his friendly and chatty nature made the shoot enjoyable and far from boring. Gary went above and beyond by picking me up from my place and ensuring I got home safely. He delivered the edited photos after a couple of days, and I'm thrilled with the results. I will recommend Gary to any model looking for a photographer.

I had my shoot with Gary today at the Docklands in London. Gary was so talkative and welcoming straight from the start, we spoke and had a relaxed shoot- stopping for a drink halfway through which was nice.

Gary had lots of good ideas and locations which he wanted to shoot and I got to see the images throughout the shoot on the back of the camera. A very relaxed photogrpaghy approach where the pace was good, allowing for me to get into my next pose but still clicking at a good pace. The images produced looked great too.

I definitely recommend working with Gary!

Unsurprisingly, another great experience shooting with Gary who is always funny, very kind, and loves to get the picture right. We had a shoot in my own home rather than a studio or out and about. Was a Christmas theme that turned into a lot of shadow work.

Had a fantastic little shoot with Gary the other day!

With him being Scotland based and me north west uk! This was a remote shoot!

However, he was still so easy to work with, completely understanding and accommodating when a few tech issues arrived! And I believe we still managed to build a strong rapport and get creativity flowing between us! Even with a screen in the way!

Can highly recommend him to any level of model and hope we get the chance to work together again! Remote or in person 🤷🏽‍♀️😊👌🏽

I had another remote shoot with Gary with festive theme. Times flied by very quick and we great set of different ideas in couple hour.

Gary is such nice person and easy to work with, he is willing to try everything different. He is very understanding and good with direction if he want something in particular shot.

Another incredible shoot with the lovely Gary! 😁 I made it back up to Bonnie Scotland for a mammoth tour again (just like old times/pre-pandemic!) and this time: Gary and I changed up our habitual tendency to head out on location... We instead planned to shoot from a hotel space, which is something different for us! The idea being that we could work with a set of gel floodlights I was bringing and just go crazy with colours and different outfits. It worked a treat! 🌈🤩

As usual: Gary was a pro with his communications and came back to me with each exchange clear as ever with the arrangements agreement and creative planning. :) I love it when I can shoot with Gary on tour - because he is so brilliantly organised and fast with coming back to me in the early stages when I'm undergoing brain melt-downs trying to coordinate everything. 😅 It wasn't actually too long since we'd just come back from working together on an Arts Voyage event in Madeira - of course that took up so much time, plus with a few other things I was sorting at the time... I hadn't started putting my Scotland tour together as early as I would have liked. But I was so fortunate to be working with great people (points at Gary!) on this trip, so it really did take a weight off when I came to fuse all my planning together and hit the road! So thank you Gary! 😊

When we got into the full swing of our shoot - all the ideas were pouring in! Considering we had not the largest/pretty basic space to work in (as one would expect with a chain hotel) we kept ourselves so busy from start to finish using every corner of that room in the most innovative ways! The lights worked a treat: from bouncing them off walls to mixing up colours and coming up with themes/looks as per each shade of light. One idea kind of led to another and Gary and I were pretty much working with telepathic thoughts as we both suggested similar things on several occasions haha! (Great minds think alike!)💁‍♀️ It was really quite amazing looking at the variety of moods we managed to create just by playing around with things and making small adjustments to the setting. Gary also threw himself into the angles game and experimented with shooting from all directions/making use of the furniture and room space in the composition. He always does this mind you - his creative eye comes alive in great ways when he's shooting.😀

Gary was professional as ever: respectful, upbeat and easy going. He's always a joy to work with, and we have an amazing rapport now whereby we can take on any kind of shoot (anywhere) and I know we'll have a killah time. We get great images every time we shoot - and Gary is also just fun to hang out with! It's never really too long between our shoots, but we always have lots of catching up and chatting to do haha! 😛

So it's defo another "highly recommended" reference from me! 🙌 Thank you so much Gary! Until the next time?

Weeeeeeee! We got to Madeira, at long last!

You couldn’t write it: Gary an I have worked together so many countless number of times - and when we finally made plans for him to join on an Arts Voyage photographic holiday... What would happen but a bloomin’ global pandemic! The sheer chance of it was just unfathomable! 🤯 3 goes at rearranging the trip following imposed restrictions (bearing in mind that there were regular occasions when Scotland and England had completely different rules on travel leaving more boxes to tick), a year later than expected, one exhausted model host and photographer later - and we finally got there! That sunshine, luscious black volcanic rock and mountain panoramic views were sooooooo well received! 😅 I think everyone was ready for it as much as the next person!

The event was specifically an exclusive/solo one-to-one photographic trip... So for Gary’s 3 day slot - there was just me and him working exclusively together and doing our thing making lots of lovely pictures. ☺️ I know Gary very well now - and we’ve even shot a whole week together before now (albeit the slightly less tropical Yorkshire!) so we are very well into a great working relationship and pretty much mind-read now with knowing where ideas will go and bouncing off each other. 😃 So three full days of Keira-Gary creativity was certainly nothing new to us - but what was exciting and new was being able to host Gary and put the trip together for him (which is a lot of fun and very rewarding because you always see the best of photographers personal imagination and individuality on these trips!) I mean I’m certainly not complaining about the beautifully warm sea and weather haha - I think there was so much good riding on the trip that all the carnage of actually figuring things out in Covid times soon melted away. What I’m trying to say is - we had one helluva cracking time! 😄

Gary is a very independent photographer with definite drive and personal vision in his work... He knows exactly what he likes in an image - down to the setting of the shots and outfits. He’s also quite partial to exploring light in fun ways, and it was quite the moment when, after all this time working together, we uncovered yet another cool lighting effect with just the circumstances of the location at the time working a treat! He always welcomes the model to get on board and throw themselves into the mix depending on how they’re being inspired with poses and merging into the location too - he sees the qualities of the model and is able to direct as needed, but is also delighted when the model goes for it in their repertoire/how they’re connecting with the set. 👍 One day followed another - and the stunning images just keep coming and coming! Highly productive - in every sense of the word! 😃

Of course it goes without saying that Gary and I enjoyed a 3 days of constant catching-up/putting the world to rights and all the other usual laughs that are had when shooting together! The 3 days really did fly - by the time I dropped Gary off at the airport again, I had to take a moment to gather where I was in the week as it genuinely felt like I had just picked him up for the beginning of his slot! 😆 That’s definitely a sign of a fun-filled 3 days, which is basically what it’s always guaranteed to be with Gary anyhow! 🤷🏻‍♀️ He’s a super lovely person, so easy to get on with and easy going... But he’s also decent to the core and routinely professional in his etiquette and throughout any shoot he undertakes. A very respectful gent with a good head on his shoulders - I’m already looking forward to our next shoot, and indeed another trip together which we’re already talking about!

I had a lovely 2hr shoot with Gary at an air bnb in Kilmarnock. Pre comms we’re great, he was friendly, chatty and respectful. We got some lovely shots and I’d love to work with him again!
