Had an absolutely spectacular shoot with Mal this past week, it was our first time meeting after getting in touch a year ago. He shot me from my home in Cumbria. First few moments he arrived I could tell he had a wonderful spirit for this type of work. Down to earth, energised, easy to talk to, and his ability to direct me as the model stood out as one of the best I’ve seen. It’s not easy to give very specific directions without sounding overbearing. Shooting with him was so effortless and I’m sure we got some magical results. Can’t wait to work together again!

Another great shoot with Mal. We have worked together afew times now and its just comfortable, hes like an old mate and we have a laugh.

We got some great portrait, dark, edgy shots this time and I cannot wait to see them.

The shoot I had with Mal was one of my favorite shoot I have ever had since I joined PurplePort. The pictures we created were absolutely stunning! The light that he set up for the headshots was so beautiful. I'm really excited to see the pictures.

Mal also brought lots of props and we did some very creative images in a vintage vibe.

I had my second shoot with Mal on Saturday at Wortley Forge. He is such a nice guy, friendly, down to earth and we can have a right laugh. I feel completely comfortable with him.

His communicaion is always spot on, hes a great photographer and I love his concepts for shoots. He brought some amazing outfits this time for me.

I would highly recommend to any model and look forward to more shoots with him in the future.

He has a great eye for photography and from what I saw on the back of camera we got some amazing picures and cannot wait to see the edits. Crossroads Studio

Mal attended a studio day at the studio with LEnza today.

As always he had creative ideas for his shoot, and in LEnza he had a willing model. Mal always brings something different to the table and is great with the models in explaining what it is he wants to achieve.

Mal is a very relaxed, easy going photographer and always puts his models at ease making sure that they enjoy the shoot too.

What an amazing shoot I had with Mal at my model day at Crossroads studio yesterday.

He was on time and prepared to shoot with ideas already flowing.

Mal was respectful & good fun to work with.

He really knew how to work the lights to get the images he wanted to achieve, and they looked amazing. We worked through so many different ideas, which I really enjoyed.

The weather held out for great outdoor shoot. I loved shooting outside. Through really good communication we turned it into 2 shoots in 1. Autumn clothes in a park then gothic dress in a graveyard. Brilliant day. Really looking forward to receiving the images.

Pre communications were good leading up to the shoot so we both knew what to expect. I instantly felt comfortable and relaxed working with Mal as he is so friendly and down to earth! I had a very enjoyable shoot with Mal. Pre-shoot communication was excellent. He had no hesitation in amending his suggested plans after I requested an adjustment.

This was my first shoot at a commercial studio and he made sure to explain the set-up. He very kindly sorted out the travel logistics for me.

Mal is very easy company. We fell into chatting immediately and there were no awkward moments.

The shoot itself flew by. Mal frequently showed me his shots as we went along. We had regular breaks, but I felt we covered a great deal in a two-hour shoot efficiently. He regularly checked that I was happy with his ideas and that I was relaxed - I was!
