For me, portrait photography is about exploring the character of the model rather than hanging a preconceived look or identity on anyone prepared to pose. I tend to focus on lighting and unconventional images and locations, and though I shoot a lot of nudes I am much more inspired by beauty in shape, light and shadow than by overt sexuality or glamour.
Stylistically I'm particularly interested in playing with light and shadow and with contrasting and incongruous elements of a scene, but I'm open to exploring other styles and ideas so feel free to suggest things. I've selected a few boxes for the types of thing shoot, but ideally I'd add something like "concepts", "scenes" or "characters" to the list.
Ideally, rather than just shoot a new model every week I'd like to find a few collaborators who I click with and can develop creative partnerships with. As much as new models can be inspiring and give an immediate rush of new images, I find the ideas that develop from an longer term relationship can be a lot more interesting and the whole experience more rewarding.
