I am an experienced hobbyist photographer, who has been doing photography for over 40 years now. I am particularly interested in wildlife photography and have been on various photographic holidays with professional wildlife photographers such as David Tipling and Chris Weston, and I have travelled to many locations in Europe and The USA.
Over the last 2 years things have begun to change for me, as I've realised its time to take my photography much more seriously rather than just playing at it. For this reason I decided to join The Royal Photographic Society (RPS) and my local photographic society in Bath to enhance my skill levels and make me a better photographer. Over the last 3 months, I've been doing an Open University/RPS course in digital photography to help enhance my skills and prepare me for working towards the first level of distinction in the RPS the LRPS.
I always had an interest in glamour/model photography, but never really had the courage to try it, as I've always found it particularly difficult when talking to women and am not very good at it. I plucked up the courage to go on an event organised by Pauls Studio Reading at The Manor House and really enjoyed it and found I was reasonably successful and got some quite stunning images, I have further enhanced this experience by attending Pauls Studio glamour event in Wales last weekend and got to meet some really nice people and some absolutely stunning models who were all really friendly and surprisingly easy to talk to, and even to able to offer advance on what settings to choose. I really want to develop in this genre and want to eventually achieve my ambition of doing a one on one shoot and perhaps look towards starting a photographic business or at least being able to eran some revenue from it.
