References for Bashir

Bash was incredibly creative at my latest Asian fusion duo day with Vonny Lang. He sent us some ideas beforehand, which took the theme to another level. He brought with him many props and accessories to enhance the styling. and applied his own creative lighting to our sets. The results looked fantastic on the back of the camera and I am really happy with what we created.

Bash and I connected via PP, and we met for a coffee to discuss ideas and vision for a potential test shoot. We hit it off, Bash is the Nancy to my Sid Vicious, I'm a bit hot-headed and chronically unimpressed with people, however Bash helped to remind me that kindness is free and goodwill engenders goodwill.

I sent over a few mood boards, and we picked one, Bash arranged for the model, from BAME Agency, which was a relief as we both know the difference an agency signed model and hobbyist model can bring to a shoot. The shoot was brilliant - he's so creative and coming from an arts background has a well-grounded approach to conceptual photography.

We're also both West Ham supporters - so that's always a thumbs up in my book.

After great pre communications me and Bashir finally got to shooting in my petite flat that we completed converted into a studio for the day. He is professional, fun and creative! We both work well and created some great images. I'm excited for future shoots with Bashir and cant wait to see the outcome from today. Hands down the best photographer i've worked with on purpleport!!

Absolutely one of the most wonderfully intelligent photographers I have had the pleasure of working with - the day was wonderful. Professionalism, laughter, so much talent and productivity the whole day. I was even treated to a green tea and breakfast whilst we waited for the wonderful MUA. Would I recommend Bashir? Had my first shoot with Bashir yesterday and hope it's not the last. Bashir was well prepared in terms of what set-ups/locations we were going to shoot in, was detailed in his communication to me, gave simple direction and was generally just very friendly and professional. Thanks!!

What a lovely creative photographer. I would recommend this artistic photographer to any body painter,

MUA or model etc. Friendly and easy to speak too. Very good communication leading up to and during the shoot. Very good at directing his model on the day. I would love to work with this gentleman again. Wishing you all the best in the future. :)

He was very prepared with moodboards.

He arranged for an MUA to create the looks and was great with direction.

He created a comfortable atmosphere - unfortunately we were pressed for time so couldn't create a third look but I would definitely work with him again!

Wow what an amazing photographer!

Bashir and I had been planning a shoot for a while and today I finally got to work with him.

Bashir is a true professional, extremely passionate about what he does and he was an absolute pleasure to work with!

He made me feel welcome the entire time and he is down to earth and really friendly.

The direction he gave was flawless and I'm so pleased with the results.

It was my second time working with Bashir.

What can I say - he is a professional. He knows what he wants, always sending me many reference pictures before hand so we can discuss and be prepared for the shoot. I'm really impressed with the way he uses lightning to create special effects. Bashir is a very kind person, there is never any stress to be around, or working with him. I would highly recommend him to anyone.

I had the pleasure of working with Bashir on a make-up beauty shoot.

The original model had to cancel and I was casted as her replacement the evening before the shoot.

Bashir made sure I was aware of what the project entailed and explained what his ideas and visions were, before we got started.

During the shoot Bashir clearly articulated what he wanted me to do, and did poses himself to show me what he wanted. He was great at directing me but wasn't too close-minded about using only his own ideas. He was happy for me to make suggestions and try different poses/ moods and props.

We worked together really well, and bounced ideas off each other, resulting in final outcomes that went above and beyond what we could have aimed for.

Bashir had everything planned and prepared, and with great skill transformed his studio several times with quick lighting-changes, making the 3 photo-series we shot immensely different from each other.

Bashir is organised, time-efficient, calm and professional. He made me feel very comfortable even though some of the shots were quite out-there. His creative view and bold attitude made for a truly extraordinary shoot. We had some great laughs and I can honestly say it was the best shoot I have done yet!

I cannot wait to work with Bashir again!

I worked with Bashir in November, we had a fantastic and spontaneous shoot. The pre-communication was fantastic and he kindly met me at the station to take me to the shoot location. He was polite, open, easy to work with and highly skilled. His use of lighting and gel work is incredible and a real talent. He kindly showed me the raw images then edited several photos for me, which was hugely appreciated. The result was high quality innovative images. I would 100% recommend and would take the opportunity to work with him again!

So... Where do I start?

I had the pleasure of working with Bashir the other day on a Tribal themed shoot! Very creative photographer with a great eye for style and detail. He provided the wardrobe and knew exactly what he wanted, very productive and insightful photo shoot with great direction. His professionalism came across strong and he made me feel very welcomed.
