I cannot decide between colour and black and white for this one. So, I will post both and let the love of PPP (*) decide. My apologies for two similar images in quick succession.

Thanks MS. I like both but the B&W is far ahead in loves. The violin spent its early years in Dublin; it used to be my father's.

Love this in colour, but the B&W is gorgeous also! I can see your dilemma. Great warm hues in the timber of the violin, chair and floor. Top job all, well done.

Trying to learn from Tabitha, I uploaded a version with slightly warmer tones.

For a version reedited by Tabitha Boydell, see my edited folder.

I understand that! You are excused! :-)

The violin is old, my father's since he was young. I don't know whether it was new when he got it. So, it is at least 75 years and maybe rather more. Not a Stradivarius or anything super famous or valuable but it looks and sounds nice.

Auriga, I try to avoid multiple similar posts in quick succession but I was so indecisive that I just had to make an exception this time.

I love them both! I'm happy that i have not to decide!

John, yes that is a plus for the colour. It is a shame to lose the colour of the violin. But, I love the b&w as well - so hard, I want my cake and to eat it.

Colour does it for me in this case - lovely subtle tones
