I was at Aura this weekend for two of their events with Marie Jean Saxton: first a half day shoot on Portraits using Gobos and then a full day on Fetish Fashion, with lighting & sets arranged by studio owner Emily.

I’ve done a little bit of work with gobos previously, but not much and very little fetish-wise so it was largely a new theme to explore and learn about. It was definitely enjoyable couple of days – both Emily & Marie were fun to be around and professional in ensuring we all got the opportunity to come away with some excellent images.

All in all, a great weekend, which has whetted the appetite to experiment more. Thanks all!

Highly recommended.

Had the pleasure to attend four events this weekend organised by AURAphotographic studio.

First was the regular club night. Saturday was 4hrs of Fashion nude and 4hrs Gobo portraits. Sunday was a day of exploring Fetish.

All styling and lighting setups were carried out by Emily the studio owner.

It was very well organised and all events ran smoothly and all attendees came away with some amazing images.

The model was chosen by the studio, Marie Jean Saxton.

I booked in at Aura Photographic for a 3 hour studio lighting tuition session to up my studio game.

Emily and Jason (who did the tuition) were lovely and really accommodating.

The tuition was just what I needed to give me the confidence to set up studio lighting from scratch. Jason is a fantastic teacher and we covered a number of classic portrait lighting styles. I really liked that he challenged me at the end to set up everything with Emily jumping in as a model when needed.

All in all, a great learning experience in an incredible studio. I can't wait to return for a proper shoot.

Another great day at Aura! This time it was for one of the studio's own small group events. Emily had arranged for a session of shooting bodypaint images with bodypaint artist Wolf Reicherter (WolfsBodyMagic) and model JC Whiskers.

The result was a really enjoyable and productive shoot. Both Wolf and JC were great to work with, and along with Emily setting up the lighting, provided plenty of opportunities to get some cracking images. With 6 hours and only 4 photographers, there was never a feeling of being rushed as we worked through different sets.

All in all, a fantastic day - thanks to all involved.

What a fabulous day at the Body paint event.

Well organised.

The artist and model were superb, even allowing the group to view and photograph the artwork as it was being created.

The body painter ( WolfsBodyMagic )was happy to tell us all about paints and application techniques.

Seeing the artwork growing and evolving made me appreciate the skill of the painter and the patience of the model.

Thank you all for a superb day.

For the second time I had the pleasure to participate in a Bodypainting Photography Experience at AURA Photographic, as a bodypainter. Like always, it was a pleasure to work at AURA Photographic. A very professional environment with excellent model care, studio space and equipment, as well a fantastic team and great participants. I can only recommend AURA Photographic in Northampton for anything Photo or Video. Thank you AURA !!!

This was my first visit to this wonderful studio under its new ownership and I'm so glad I came back! Emily's communications are great, and we were able to organise a studio day fairly quickly. She kept me up to date with the slots that sold and it sold out in no time!

When I arrived at the studio I was offered a hot drink and shown around the studio and I've got to say what it has to offer is phenomenal. The venue still has the amazingly large windows to shoot in and is still flooded with natural light, however it now has "mini sets" full of amazing props. This mini sets really help to give life and character to the studio and gives a really good variety of imaged that can be produced.

Emily was on hand to help with lighting or to move things if required but otherwise staying out of the way in the office. She was accommodating of all of the photographers as well as myself, helping me in and out of my latex.

Emily, and the studio, we're an absolute joy and I'd highly recommend going. I look forward to coming back!

I had my first shoot at Aura today and the studio is just fantastic!!! There is so much here there are no real limitations to what you can capture.

Such a warm welcome from the studio owner who made me feel completely at home, will be back here for sure!!!

Another really enjoyable shoot at Emily’s really well equipped studio in Weedon. This time it was a duo Luxury Boudoir event with Serenity and Infinity Valerie, with the added bonus of some great designer gowns to end the shoot with. Great day, great studio, great models, great images.

Highly recommended.

Had a superb two days shooting Infinity Valerie and Serenity at AURA studio's

events of classic art nude and lingerie.

Both models chosen by the studio worked together well on one day of art nude and the second day being lingerie with sets organised by the studio but also allowed input from models and photographers to adjust props. Both models new what were their best angles especially as when the lingerie day was all natural daylight.

Very professional and chatty which made for a very relaxed and productive shoot.

I am very pleased with all images.

I was lucky to get a last minute place on Aura Photographics Event Nude for Arts sake!

Emily arranged some innovative Lighting .

Infinity Valerie and Serenity posed beautifully, both individually and as a duo.

It was a happy relaxed atmosphere with all able to contribute to some excellent images, I am still enjoying working though the images a week later.

Thank you Aura, Emily, Infinity Valerie and Serenity for an unforgettable day. If you get a chance to shoot at Aura don't miss it.

I attended two fantastic workshops at Aura Studio over the last weekend. These were an Art Nude and a Boudoir duo event with Serenity and Infinity Valerie.

Both events were really well arranged, with great lighting and sets arranged for the Art Nude day. For the Boudoir day we relied on a lot of natural light, which created some really nice images.

Emily was wonderful in arranging all of the sets, and setting up the lighting, as well as engaging with all of the photographers and both models.

It was a thoroughly enjoyable couple of days, and I got lots of lovely images.

Emily and the studio are highly recommended by me, and I am looking forward to returning in May for a couple of studio days!

It’s been great to be back at Aura for a couple shoots this month, first with Maria91 and then Cariad Celis on her studio day. It is a great space that provides you with so many options, from great natural light courtesy of the big warehouse windows through to the infinity cove via the various other set-ups Emily has created. Moreover, it is well equipped with backdrops, lighting and props.

Emily, the studio owner, is great to work with: friendly, happy to advise and set up lighting, move furniture and help with more off-the-wall requests if she can – on a previous shoot it was rustling up a glass of “red wine” using fake blood, this time it was responding to a completely off-the-cuff request and producing a beach ball.

All In all, a great studio & highly recommended.

I had a lovely photoshoot at AURAPhotographic last month with Gem. Emily and Jase were superb in helping with the lighting and props. They are extremely helpful in looking after me and Gem when were shooting. I find AURAPhotographic a superb studio with so many opportunities for a photographer and model to create some wonderful images. Thanks again for all your help.

Had a superb session on their ArtNude portfolio builder day.

The model chosen (Jasmine.),was amazing. The many lighting setups gave the opportunity to try different poses using various different lighting modifiers.

A really well organised day.

Wow!

Made the trek up from Portsmouth specifically to shoot a “northern” model who’d been on my “want to shoot with” list for a long time and was just blown away! Laura’s studio space is huge, and just full of fascinating props - I think it might take an entire weekend and a handful of models to do justice to this venue. And then only maybe.

Laura and partner were super generous & kind with additional assistance during shooting, no silly question or arcane request for a particular kind of prop was too much. And all in such a friendly atmosphere. Coffee and biscuits aplenty!

100% recommended - I’ll definitely be back!

Despite living fairly locally, my first shoot at Emily and Jason's studio was extremely enjoyable. They had arranged a Winter themed event with Elle and Darcie modelling gowns in several settings. Everyone was very welcoming and helpful. The facilities were everything that we needed to achieve a great shoot. I will definitely be back.

It was my first shoot at Aura Studio with another model and 8 togs and I loved it!

Both Emily and Jase were amazing, very friendly and easy-going and the studio was just perfect! Good size with everything you need and stylish settings. A really lovely place to shoot with delightful hosts!

Will definitely go back, it was a pleasure to meet all these nice people :-)

My first club night at Auraphotographic on Friday and it was a lovely evening. Emily and Jase were organised, friendly and nothing was too much effort.

They had a variety of sets and were very knowledgeable with lighting.

I would highly recommend it and would love to go back.

Being my first time in a studio for a while, and my first time at AURA, I was a little apprehensive but Emily was superb. She made me a cuppa, gave me a tour and was there throughout to offer assistance and support. She knows her stuff too, so if you shoot there, just ask, and she'll put you straight.

The shear number of lights and modifiers was incredible, as were the props, but the most impressive thing about this studio is its size. Open spaces, great natural light, high ceilings, and a huge infinity cove.

I would highly recommend AURA, to all shades of the profession, whether starting out or seasoned pro. I'll definitely be a regular there now I've experienced it.
