Hello and welcome.  My name is Arthur and I am based in Northampton, Northamptonshire.

To me photography is about creating reactions and thoughts through a photograph.  A single look at a photograph can stir up a thousand memories. 

Where ever I go I take photographs with the hope of touching or moving people in some way.  It may be by showing them something that the eye may not normally pick up, such as the close-up of an insect or flower;  it may be by capturing the essence of the moment that speaks of the human condition or making people smile or even laugh.  I hope to convey in some small way the beauty of this wonderful planet on which we live.

My intention is to show a wide range of photos. Many are planned, whilst others were taken for no other reason than they seemed like a good idea at the time.  I have found photography to be a wonderful medium in which to explore my creativity and record what I and others love to remember. Although I have an interest in capturing a variety of different subjects and places, it is the challenge of capturing the beauty of whatever I am photographing most enjoyable and stimulating.

In my portraiture and wedding photography I like to create natural images which show the essence of the person and the emotions of the day, while reflecting their individuality.
