I just loved shooting with Nicholas - in every sense! :D He’s a true artist who puts a lot of care and pride in his work... Not to mention a genuinely amazing person and I quite honestly have no words worthy of just how highly I recommend him!

Our shoot took place during my latest “mega tour” of Europe; where I do this thing where I get all ambitious and run around Europe trying to fit in team-ups with as many fabulous people as possible. :P I was coming to Germany as part of my trip, and since Nicholas and I had been chatting before about shooting - we reignited the comms and fortunately the dates all worked to get something booked in! :D The plan was to do a joint full day working with another photographer friend of Nicholas (Rudi) which was a genius idea as the day was split up with a nice break in-between... And at times it meant there was also “extra pairs of hands” to help with the technical stuff, especially when I was working with Rudi and Nicholas was able to assist with the light amid all his good photographic knowledge in the studio. The time Nicholas and I spent shooting one-to-one was just productive on a colossal level too... It is quite honestly so rewarding to get to work with people who are looking to pull so much emotion and power from their pictures. Nicholas is just that kind of photographer who has a deep degree of focus and passion for his work; and the images he took truly reflected that. :)

With a strong visual interest in dance and shapes - but expressiveness of the body on a personal level with the model... Nicholas is always searching for that little bit of magic in a unique series of poses which makes a picture POP! It’s very hard to describe it words: but as Nicholas was talking to me on the day about his projects, I knew exactly what he meant and was already getting excited with energy build-up to prance around the room! :D Once the music came on - that was it haha! Nicholas is phenomenal at giving direction to sculpt the moment into that vision he has (not always an easy thing to do in the deep realms of artistic expression as it can be hard to match words/descriptions with a sort-of picture inside your head) but he rocks at it! Period! Even so; Nicholas was open to allow me to go for it in my own expression of the brief and pull out the poses which he then captured BEAUTIFULLY! It can be very hard to get something different in this industry... But I tell you something: Nicholas did it! The lighting and setting up of the studio almost becomes the easier part with artistic work (although Nicholas absolutely slayed the lighting to perfection too!) but seizing that split second of expression be it a jump or a facial look - that’s what I’m talking about!!!! :P Honestly: this guy is class. Pure class.

More praise and credit (I believe in such where due!) Nicholas is a figure of total respect and courtesy when it comes to building great working relationships with others. He did absolutely everything to make me feel as happy and at ease as possible: operating with platinum professional conduct and looking after me. He bought in lots of delicious things to snack on as the shoot went on and for the lunch period and refreshing tea breaks were just a shout away! :D The pace was relaxed and not in the slightest bit pressured. We chatted so much that I don’t even know how either of us still have voice boxes in working order! :P Gelling into that prolific rapport just happened effortlessly, and I was honestly still positively full of beans even at the end of the shoot! Nicholas was still as generous right to the last moment as he even sorted me a taxi out (instead of buses and trains) to get to the airport as we parted ways.

I honestly couldn’t think of a better shoot to end my European tour on... Thank you millions Nicholas! And I really hope we can do it again in the future. :)

During the shoot he was professional, very friendly and it was really nice that I could see the photos we've done and choose my favorites.

I had an amazing shoot with Nicholas, which was a very unique shoot for me. We explored nudity and emotions through the concept of dance whilst shooting, which i found absolutely liberating.

Nicholas is an absolute gentleman, who always made sure i was doing okay etc, as i am not a dancer. However, i felt comfortable every single second. I can not recommend him enough and i would love to shoot with him again in the future.
