My first experience of life modelling for the art group at Basingstoke was a really lovely experience. I was greeted with a warm welcome by David and Sheila and was then introduced to the group of students. The group were lovely and made the task of sitting still an easy task because of their enthusiasm and appreciation.

I was promptly invited to model for another life modelling session in January 2024, which I have accepted and greatly looking forward to working with such a lovely group of individuals who made the job an absolute pleasure.

I was kept nice and toasty for the entire session as I don’t do the cold very well with lovely warm heaters and a nice hot steaming cup of tea at the break (Thank you Sheila 🙏🏼).

I am really looking forward to January’s second life modelling experience with this lovely group of enthusiastic artists.

vulgar superstitions

I have continued to model for the Basingstoke group on a fairly regular basis, and it's always a pleasure. They are a welcoming lot and concerned with my comfort, they request interesting poses and each have very different styles. It's been particularly interesting to revisit old poses and see individuals build on their previous work.

I always look forwards to Saturday mornings with David and co. and would - and have - recommend life drawing to others based on my very positive experiences with them.

David's communications were prompt and detailed so I was clear on where I was going and what was expected of me on the day. His life drawing group were friendly and welcoming and I felt immediately at ease. I felt calm and relaxed the whole way through and they were more concerned than I was for my comfort and warmth! We tried several different poses for different stretches of time, and despite having not done much life modelling previously I was surprised how long I was able to hold each pose. I happily accepted Sheila's request to book me for another few sessions in the new year. I will gladly work with the group again, it was a peaceful way to spend a morning and the results produced by some of the class really blew me away!

This was my first time posing nude for a group and they made me feel very at ease with the experience.

David was friendly, good with communication and overall a gentleman in person.

Despite still being new to the realms of modelling, I didn't feel awkward or uncomfortable with anything.

I would highly recommend David and his lovely colleagues, relaxed, fun and down to earth.

I look forward to working with everyone again.

It was a pleasure modelling for a life drawing session organised by this lovely gentleman today, pre comms were excellent, there was a lovely group of people there and it was fun and very professional :D

I very highly recommend him to all and I'm looking forward to our next session :D

Had a wonderful time posesing for a life drawing session with David

Everything was well set up and organised and the whole group made me feel welcome

We went through some 15 minute standing to 30 minute laying down poses with a break

I felt comfortable throughout and really enjoyed the session

Would recommend :)

David was fantastic from the start. Very informative in his correspondence before the shoot and open to ideas during it. He made me feel very comfortable and at ease; always respectful and good conversation. The day flew by with lots of fantastic images produced that have received a lot of positive feedback. .

I would happily recommend him to any model and work with him again in the future myself.

David arrived at the www.amandaswanstudio.com with his beautiful model, Yasmine and it was a pleasure meeting them both and assisting David with the photographic lighting set up at the studio. Yasmine said she had a great day working with David and was looking forward to doing so again. I, too, am waiting in the queue to work with David. Had a peek at the pictures he took of Yasmine and they are stunning!
