Mardi Gras

Mrs EdenGarden and I went to New Orleans in February 2015 during the Mardi Gras Festival. We returned with an overnight bag of beads, trinkets and masks in the colours of Mardi Gras: Purple (Justice), Green (Faith) and Gold (Power). They have used this colour scheme in all Mardi Gras Festivals for the past 125 years. The festival itself is believed to date back to 1699.
