Arielle Fox

From the moment I first saw the portfolio of Arielle Fox, I started looking for an excuse to shoot with her and, happily, it wasn't too long before I found one. She was one of those who initially made up my mind for me to take female portraiture far more seriously than I had previously. 

I felt that Arielle's portfolio was, and still is one of the most arresting and incredibly diverse. Of course, I felt overjoyed that she gave me a chance to work with her and I truly feel that I came home from our first shoot a new person.

In addition to a commercial shoot and also a workshop together, she and I have had a further two solo shoots under our collective belt.

Being that I had very little experience with female portraiture when she and I first shot together, it meant so much to me when Arielle herself later acknowledged that my own work had improved since our first shoot. I feel that with those words of encouragement, my own portfolio can only get better and I sincerely hope that she herself will continue to be just as much one of it's important and endearing features as she did at the beginning of my story.  It is a story which would not be complete without Carla Monaco, Adrian Crook and Stefano Brunesci, all of whom I would like to express my sincere gratitude towards as they always welcome me warmly to their home studio near Bath when I often shoot with Arielle.

In addition, I want to greatly thank everyone, past and present, at Express Imaging in Cardiff for, not only developing, scanning and helping me to select these photographs, but also, like Carla, Adrian and Stefano, for giving me so much of their love and valuable support and therefore becoming just as important part not just of my photography, but indeed my whole life as the model Arielle Fox has undoubtedly.
