I'm looking for the attachments and software to be able to transfer files from my D7000 to my laptop.

If your laptop has an SD card slot, just move the card from your d7000, insert it into laptop, cut and paste.

I have a WT-4 Wi-Fi adaptor. I used to use it on a D3s. Let me know if this what you were after.

copy and paste! - never cut and paste - just in case something happens during transfer and the file becomes corrupt - once successfully copied, and backed up - then clear the card from the camera😊

Agreed!  But is the OP wanting to transfer files during a shoot or after it, I wonder?

who knows - unless he means tethering it to a computer - and saving the images direct? then yes - would need a cable - cheep enough to find one that is compatable - and a quick look round should find him the software he feels is suitable for his needs (capture 1?)
