Ok, I've been on PP for 8 months or so and I guess it's time to put my head above the parapet and ask for a portfolio review!

I've been shooting for 18 months and I'm pretty happy overall with the trajectory of my photography and finding my style but would love to get some feedback on my portfolio.
Is there anything I should be doing differently on there? Anything I am missing or doing wrong? Is it a good idea to shift older photos in to albums?

Constructive criticism/advice welcome! :)

Classy. Lovely use of light. If I were a model (no laughing, please) I'd be nagging your for a shoot.

(Apologies if that's a bit brief, but I'm not the right person to comment about technical aspects. I haven't a clue about technical stuff.)

Other stuff... Some people will say that you don't need as many pics in your portfolio. If, like me, you use your portfolio as a sort of personal photo album, have as many pics as you want. But if your portfolio is principally a selling aid, it might be useful to do a painful cull - possibly by cutting down on very similar pics from the same shoots.

Albums  - I think the jury is out on that one. Some folk find them useful. On the other hand, some folk reckon that albums are seldom looked at; so once a pic goes into an album, it might as well have been deleted.

But I do like your style, sir!

Very nice - especially the period styled ones (Y)  I'm not qualified to talk about editing to any particular standard, so I won't, but if you're looking for TFP on here then make sure you know what it is that models want, which might include highly polished finished images.

As Orson said, there's repetition which could be culled - I try to limit myself to just one per set, regardless of how many the model might have wanted, though my recent use of triptychs and other montages side-steps that self-imposed rule :)

On albums, you'll find that I love them.  I use my main portfolio for recent images, and put everything into themed albums - quite often into multiple albums because they fit multiple themes (e.g. nude, mono, abroad).  The choice of them is entirely personal, and as Orson says they get few views, but not zero.  I use them - in conjunction with keyword tags - as a way to find and show a subset of images to a model I might be in conversation with, such as a mood board, or at least as a convenient way to find the subset that I want to show them.  Other people use them in different ways.

Thank you :)
Good points - I guess albums can be useful for sharing shoots, having the main bulk of the photos in but the stand out ones on the main page.
It's very interesting to hear how different people use albums!
