I have to admit, I generally don't consider Purplebot to be much of an expert in what I should do. But that's cos I'm old and cynical!
Initially I was in full agreement with Jessica.T.21 - some excellent images that are somewhat scrunched up into clumps for no obvious reason, so I'd have given a similar observation. Then I noticed your lack of 'VIP' badge(tee hee, I pay and I don't really feel like a VIP), so I assume your image clumps are an attempt to get more teeny image on your portfolio than would be allowed if you had them on separately. Well, good ruse if that was your intent.
But secondly I noticed that you state you're here for the photoshop tips. In which case I'd say you've come to the wrong place. Go see Phlearn, or Piximperfect, or ... they have a lot of free tips.
Nice images
I don't pay for VIP, simply don't have the time to shoot so it seemed an unnecessary expense. The images are set out in the way of an old school photographer (I started back in the '70's) as a 'contact sheet'. I tend to see the days work as a group of images, themes explored, relationship with model developing. I've never really been interested in a 'final' image, so the contact sheet conceit is useful to me.
I think one of the things PP is excellent at is photoshop, often narrative, composition and styling is fairly generic, but the technical standards are immense and extremely professional. Always an inspiration. I'm particularly liking the skill going into colour grading, everything is looking very polished.
Thanks so much for taking the time to reply. Very much appreciated!
