Not my FPI. It's from the model's portfolio. I've got the same pic in my portfolio, but as far as I'm aware it's not even been suggested, let alone selected. So should I lose faith in the system - why did the selectors go for the one on the model's portfolio while ignoring mine? It something personal going on?

Nope. It's just one of those things.

Nope. It's just one of those things. 

I would still say its your FPI, it appears on your fpi list. 

It is suggested, so fingers crossed it makes it through too in a few days (no idea how long dupes need to be separated by?).  Such as great shot, I'm confident it will.

Look, I don't want to overstate the obvious that the FPI system rewards a set of photographers/models over and over.

The basic system that someone has to recommend an Image to be an FPI then it's ranked by how many people recommended makes it more about a 'Popularity Contest' Vs. A true 'Showcase Gallery' of the best images on PurplePort.

If you just look through FPI's on any day, you will see 'ABSOLUTELY STUNNING' images followed by 'AT BEST PEDESTRIAN' images - It's everyday.

It's a Pity though, amazing images are getting ignored to showcase popular ones/ from photographers in the 'circle'

I don’t think we should be encouraging people to pose on rail tracks for an FPI regardless of if the line is disused or not. Just my personal take.

Firstadekit Absolute agreement, it encourages dangerous behaviour. Whether that was live or abandoned track, there is always a risk and may encourage others (which I understand isn't our responsibility) to use live track to hit a similar, I admit beautiful, image.

This may be a reason it was voted off or not suggested.

Russ Freeman - you just made me LoL - 'I hate borders' - Really? Framing is one of the best ways to represent art and stunning images and most great photographers do it. Also you guys pick images with ugly Stamps and names on it all the time...

Also, the problem is that this image was never recommended for an FPI - I don't think it made it to the list at all

I don't want to point out images - But if you are telling us here that all the images that go on the FPI list are worthy - While this one is not - I think people would totally be awestruck 😂
