Just watched this. Pure Genius. Encapsulates the .......... of a mental breakdown and sets it up for Joker 3 where .... gets real :). Opinions welcome :)

Haven’t seen this due to the bad reviews… always loved the joker though. Is it worth the watch?

I was going to watch this but the very bad reviews kept me off.

Same, reviews put me off. Isn't it a musical as well? Not my favourite genre

There’s music in it but my take on it was it was used as interludes to differentiate between reality and their collective mental episodes.

Cinematography is beautiful, Gaga does being mentally unwell very believably and Joaquin Phoenix just exudes a broken state of being. His knows what diet he had to endure to noodle that physically broken. Almost Christian Bale levels of deprivation.

It is different to the first film which was maybe better.

Saw it Monday and am still processing it.

Mark Kermode is arguably the UK’s most ‘senior’ film critic…

Reviews don't put me off as we all like different things. I've not got round to watching it but hoping too soon! The first one was just so brilliant it probably should have been a stand alone film, but I'm willing to give the second one a try.

Ivy Huxley don't expect anything like the first one but definitely worth a watch. As mskeetphoto says, great acting & cinematography, along with the musical interludes, giving you a sense of the surreal fantasy world they create together. I just hope they do a Joker 3 to round the whole thing out.
