Afternoon,
I work in the live events industry, including corporate, TV and Music. Before Brexis the UK was the biggest and best country for supplying kit, production for ALL of the biggest bands/artists in the world to tour. We were so good we even went to the US to replace their crews. We toured bands from Queen to Robbie Williams, Coldplay etc. It was a multi £billion industry and it stopped dead that day. We ran most of the big Car/tech launches not to mention played host other countries production and filming.
So I can tell you a few things about the whole situation now and I'm afraid its not considered there will be any likelyhood of it getting better any time soon. The Schengen scheme that monitors the number of days we spend in europe is going to be tightened ans it goes digital. Now passport control can see the number of days in the last year you have spent away, (90 in a rolling 180 day period) without adding up the stamps in the passport.
Not being political but the Tories made no effort to renegotiate the situation and the Labour stance has not been much better. The biggest problem will actually be getting the Europeans to relax any rule regards working and travelling without a reduction in free movement in return. Everyone is saying its a great idea and we should work together but in reality no progress is being made. I would love it to change but i'm not holding my breath.
Dont forget EVERY model or Photographer who is being paid to go to Europe for shoot MUST fill out an A1 form otherwise they maybe liable for tax and NI in the country they are working. Saying your going on holiday will only work for so long.
