The scoring idea comes around more often than Adele on Heart.
How do you grade it, though? "1 - Got his dick out" to "5 - No notes" so as CalmNudes rightly said, someone with 2 or 3 is going to take umbridge. I honestly think the system we have is the least worst option. You could possibly improve it with the broad, fixed "reasons" for a DNR which AdultFolio & ModelFolio do but beyond that, I'm not sure what else can realistically be done without opening a very large can of worms or a hundred.
My reading of a "DNR" would be that the model could be difficult to work with.
But there is a lot of pressure within the referencing system as well.
Last week I had a model cancel on me the night before the shoot, telling me that she'd been admitted to hospital. Naturally, I didn't DNS her (12 hours' notice) because I've taken her at her word that she's in hospital and it would clearly be unfair to do so. The question is, should I go back and retrospectively DNS if she didn't re-book once back working?
Genuine question - What's that got to do with you doing the right thing and not giving a DNS because she was in hospital?

Allesandro B I've done the right thing and not left a DNS.
I know that what I'm asking is what has rebooking or not got to do with going back retrospectively?

Abuse of the reference system...

Allesandro B because I was asking if the groupthink was that it was common practice to go back and do so if a rebook didn't follow an in extremis (that is, supposedly genuine reason) cancellation?
Does that answer your question?

If a model needs/wants to postpone or cancel I don't expect or require a reason. I'll sometimes say that to a model I haven't worked with before (those I've worked with will have figured it out). I'll always prefer to know if a model can't turn up even if it's a last-minute notification, and no shoot is so precious to me that I'm going to lose even a minute's sleep over it.
My ideal:
Model: Something's come up, can we reschedule?
Me: Of course, let me know your availability when you get a mo.
No deaths in the family, no drama. I hate drama.
One no-show ever, no cancellations and I can't remember the last time a model asked to postpone (but it does happen occasionally).

I just got back from a shoot with my photographer husband, sometimes you wish that the photographer would call in sick. If he was on here I would give him a very poor reference for that "Fat Arm" jibe lol

I only ever got one no-show reference from a model……and the shoot was at my house…….and I was in all day……
