How to create a lot of bath foam?

I've done quite a few bubble-bath shoots and until now, my go-to way of doing it is to agitate the s**t out of the water whilst the bath is being run.  Whilst this creates loads of foam to begin with, it never seems to last very long after the model's got in it and done a few shots, especially if you're using it in an "implied/concealed" manner (using the foam to cover the the model's modesty, for example.)

Is there a more effective way of doing it, or is there a particular brand of bath foam to use - I generally use the supermarket's own brand "fake" equivalent of Radox.

I need something that's going to create a lot of bubbles, which aren't going to disappate 5 minutes into shooting the set?

Somersetman I need that duck. Not for shoots. For me! 😂

Hahaha brilliant suggestion

If you had a safe* air pump you could carry on blowing bubbles in the bath, through a length of plastic tubing.

You could mount the duck on it, and let the air out of the duck's bottom, for instance.

* You'd do your own risk assessment, but a couple of metres sideways and a metre up including any connections should do.

Ever considered fake foam snow? It last for a quite a while, only downside is the chemical formal can make you smell like a bottle of vinegar. I've used it before in a bath tub where there no running water. Very convincing!

Adding glycerine to bubble mixture makes bubble machine bubbles last longer. It ought to do the same for bubble bath bubbles.

anagliff thanks - I shall give that a go!

I have not used this product but was recommended to me Childs Farm Bubble bath, apparently lasting foam and about £5. Worth testing first?

Kevin Connery that's exactly the sort of look I want, and it's not going to all go once the model's splashed about in it, or she's dunked herself in it to wet her hair down etc. etc.

Will see if I can find some Mr. Bubble. Good shout on the glycerine too.

I've just realised Kevin is in the USA. But I assume kids bubble bath is a better shout than Radox etc?

Jacuzzi pump with air turned up makes loads, and it lasts too.

Pete Naples Me and some friends did this in a jacuzzi bath in a previous life when after a few (read: many) drinks it seemed like a good idea. I seem to remember the bath looked like a pint of Boddingtons 😂
