When the model brings a chaperone

What’s your point?

Oftentimes a chosen chaperone is another model. It takes less explaining as to why they need to attend, they already know the industry and are more likely to spot and raise red flags.

Sometimes models bring friends who they think could also model along to shoots to give them a sense of what the industry and experience is about.

I wouldn't ever shoot with a chaperone on a shoot I'd arranged with somebody else, but if it was something they showed an interest in I would consider arranging a separate shoot with them.

Bonus points.  Great result and lovely images.

Yes, sorry I didn’t make it more obvious. She got interested in posing herself whilst watching her friend so she booked in for a shoot, that was 3 years ago and it’s now turned into an annual visit with her confidence growing each time.

Okay but why is this in general chat? Seems like you're trying to share a shoot, which is another group entirely.

If you want to start a conversation about how some models get into the industry by accompanying friends to shoots then do that, but the self-promotion has no place in general chat.

I agree with Holly, and please encourage others, don't have a go. It does not help you when working with models on here.

I'd certainly photograph a model's companion.

I'm somewhat flexible, also all of us might learn something.

ADWsPhotos It might have been clearer if the subject line had been "That wonderful feeling you get when..." but the clickbait-y title got us to look, and it's a positive post, not the rant that some might anticipate.
