Not quite as the title suggests, but do all photographers shoot nudes? I have done but now dont, purely because I find models more interesting when clothed, and have few ideas for posing nudes.

Photographers shoot what interests them, and everyone’s different. Some are drawn to landscapes, others to wildlife, fashion, or nudes—the list is endless. Often, people are inspired to try new things after seeing others' work. The key is to create what you want and what you see. Don’t worry too much about what others are doing or thinking. Just focus on yourself and your photography. 😊

I think you've just answered your own question :)
And a quick trawl through the site will quickly show that you're far from alone. Maybe start at somewhere like https://purpleport.com/page/stats/membersOnline
I shoot all sorts, including nudity. I have lots of bland, boring and uninspiring photos of ladies in the buff because I'm not a great photographer or greatly artistic, but occasionally I manage to get a shot that looks good to me & that makes up for all the rest. Nudity for the sake of nudity tends towards boring, but nudity as part of a wider context is entirely different. I do shoot some "straight" nudity with nothing else for context, but then I'm usually looking for shapes or expression.

I shoot other genres & subjects too but nudes get the most appreciation generally.

B17fan that begs the question of do you shoot nudes to create an image, or to garner appreciation? Or do you try to balance both sides? My own approach is to shoot what makes me happy & if a few others like it then that's a bonus.

^^ THIS ^^ Topless for the sake of topless (page 3 style) proved the point conclusively for me.
To the original question, some people like photography but don't like displays of nudity. Some people are quite happy with displays of nudity, but aren't comfortable shooting it, or don't think they're good at it and would rather shoot something else. Some people strive to do something interesting with nudity (that's me. I also shot non nude stuff if I think it's interesting) and some people are happy shooting / looking at examples of nudity that I find boring. Each to their own.

Life art for me (which is an artists' way of saying nude). Like you, it's the genre that makes me happy and I'll carry on as long as I can find models and can still hold a paint brush.
A bit of all of those. I try to create nudes which are interesting for more than just the nudity. If I can create images which are aethstetically pleasing, erotic or preferably both I'm happy. The same applies to my non nudes too I suppose, but I do feel shooting nudes sets me a little apart from "the photographer in the street".
I also admit that I share images to garner loves, I see little point in sharing images other people don't like.
Although I’m a bit of a prude, as far as nudes go throughout the history of photography theres hardly any that I really like, there’s plenty of “oh that’s nice” Ruth Bernhardt’s etc, but maybe even zero nudes that really inspire me. Mildly more glamour/erotic but keeping in an arty vibe suddenly there’s loads I like. But I guess there’s a bit of a spectrum between nude/sexualised. I think where your at the tipping point is the most interesting.
but regardless I don’t shoot either anymore as I prefer clothed images and you can then show them anywhere on any platform.

As a hobby photographer, I shoot nudes because I enjoy shooting nudes, it is fun to do. Life is too short to worry about what others think of my photos, I enjoy what I shoot and have no pretensions it is anything more than glamour type photos. So long as myself and a model enjoy the shoot, that is the important thing for me.
As others have said, each to their own.
B17fan there's no right or wrong answer - at the end of the day it's about what gives you the most enjoyable overall experience.
My stuff doesn't get much in the way of likes, but that doesn't particularly bother me. A recent shot that cost me a lot in terms of time and money (and stress!) to achieve didn't get much love - even less than my lowly expectations & yet every time I look at the print hanging on my wall none of that matters...
