The Passion of Joan of Arc (1928)
Persona (1966)
Kubrick's "Stare" (Think of Nicole Kidman in eyes wide shut)
To name a few.
The Fall 2006 was by Tarsem Singh.

Fincher would have been doing 100s of takes of Zodiac at that point.

For a long time (a fairly long time back) the single most inspirational was the original Blade Runner. Watched that film more than any other in my teens and twenties. I was really into night, neon, and dramarama lighting in urban environments for a few years.
Blade runner has been an inspiration for so many parts of our shared art and culture…
The 80’s fashion for women’s shoulder pads = Blade Runner (specifically Rachael’s suit).
Richards Roger’s iconic ‘inside out’ Lloyds Building = Blade Runner, he and his core team went through a phase of watching it in their studio every Friday afternoon.

Possession (1981)
The Red Shoes (1948)
Black Narcissus (1947)
Love the work of William Friedkin and Robert Altman.
Magnolia (1999)
The Phantom Thread (2017)

Wild Things (1998)
Brazil (1985)
Really into Paul Schrader at the moment.
Francis Ford and Sofia Coppola's movie are really inspirational to me visually.
FFC's Tetro has amazing black and white cinematography. And of course the Godfather had him working with Gordon Willis.
One from the heart is underrated visually in my opinion.
Sofia's The Virgin Suicides I loved.

Vassili Peter Jackson's The Frighteners is still a great movie. Lord of the Rings are still an amazing technical feat also.

That's a tough one for me as I don't think I am influenced by films per se however I do like certain era's say the 1950's for that cocktail waitress look or the 60's for the Biker look. Other photographers and models have pulled off some amazing shots. Non more than Retro Rob and James Ryder. Both Brilliant and Darkhorse is another one who would generally cosplay up to look the anti hero.
Personally films that I like cannot be replicated on film without a) an enourmous budget, b? Blood and gore, c) the vision of others. I do like Steven Spielberg movies, Alfred Hitchcock (Psycho) and a lot of films that James Cagney appeared in.
