Margo Jost , that sounds like you had a lucky escape from a surprisingly scary situation.
The maxim of “no such thing as bad weather, just inappropriate clothing” applies even when you’re not expecting it.
Damn.. 'inappropriately clothed' is my whole identity 😂

No. I told them it was your idea.
So if you get a knock on the door this evening, it might not be Trick or Treaters.

The back of a Rolls-Royce Cullinan has an optional tail gate 2 electric seat option available....when I saw it they looked like a pair of toilet seats, not so bad once seatback is raised, so we thought we'd have giggle with the toilet roll.

Rain covers for cameras are pretty cheap to be fair.
I have lots of concepts I would shoot in the rain, but not many models are happy to be in the poorer weather for more than a few minutes.
I have done a few "wet" shoots over the years and they can be creative.

indemnity , I was wondering if that was your car or at a show - I’d believe either.

One of my brother's cars, he's got another new one since as his mk 11 has been delayed, we had a Ford GT Carbon, SF90 and some other cars of his but the valeter spent too long on mine (which I store there) so didn't have time to shoot any others on that visit.

If you are looking for models who can withstand the cold, Life Models have a lot of experience of spending evenings in freezing Church Halls, unable to move for extended periods, whilst everyone else is wrapped up and warm.

It might not apply to you OP but if you do any self shooting, or anyone else for that matter, always be mindful of just how insidiously cold and hypothermia can creep up on you and always make sure someone is with you until you are out of the wilds and back into urban areas.
A couple of years ago I was self shooting, only in late September but with a very sheer dress on and the sun was setting and I felt (or thought I felt absolutely fine) until i decided to pack up and realised that I was actually struggling to use my hands, they had gone completely numb and I had no control over them.
I managed to pack up with difficulty and get back to my car but I had started shaking by then.
When I got back to my car I realised with horror that I didn't actually have enough ability in my hands to get the key in the lock (yes it's that sort of car 😄). I started to panic slightly because I was so cold at that point but luckily the car was parked on the edge of a village so I knew I could get help and quickly if I needed it.
There were a couple nearby who were watching me too and it was so embarrassing because whatever I told my hands to do, they just wouldn't do it. Eventually I managed to get the lock open by holding my wrist with the other hand and just kinda forcing it with everything I had but it was difficult.
And actually quite frightening realising that I couldn't use my hands.
In the car it took about half an hour for enough feeling to come back to be able to drive.
At no point was I in any serious danger, I had my phone and would have been able to dial 999 and also I was near help if needed but it did seriously make me think if I'd been parked out in the middle of nowhere.
And it was scary how quickly I suddenly went from ok to really not ok and I did not for one second realise my body was getting that cold due to being in the sun set sun.
Obviously if you're out shooting with photographers then those sort of risks are minimised as they should be looking after your welfare but if for example you part ways quickly after the shoot and before you're fully warmed up you could still get issues so I think it's so important in the winter to be extra careful of how quickly you can go south if you are nude or wearing very little clothing.
I suffer from Raynauds, sometimes if its really bad it can leave me with 'dead' non functioning hands and being unable to turn the ignition key for about 15 minutes of "hands under armpits" so holding onto a very cold camera isn't what I choose to do if avoidable.
I have invested in quite expensive gloves ( 2 layer, inner and outer) as well as hand warmers which can help extend (my) exposure time to the environment, but once I hit "miserable" level its time to stop.

I am happy to work in all weather. As I mainly shoot equestrian show and sport they don’t stop for anything.
