What do you think about Models who charge for a shoot and then ask for the photos for free and then use those photos to sell on Only Fans and Patreon? How does a photographer deal with such situation and how best to avoid it?

Say no?

If I know that is where images are headed, I just decline to shoot with the model concerned.

You own the copyright, simply say no ☺️

Some models that need images for paid platform are usually happy to work for lower rates in exchange for some images

Of course, it's also your choice if you want to decline it

An ask is a request, a request can be declined, and there is an opportunity to negotiate!

Instead of avoiding it, make sure to have a conversation before even removing the lens cap. Consider licensing the images; this could provide an additional revenue stream while allowing you to retain copyright.

Just have the conversation(s) ahead of time.

How best to avoid it?...

Choose your models carefully.

You could refuse or consider entering into a financial arrangement/licence for use, maybe there's an opportunity to create a revenue stream not just with this model but others too.

Genuine question regarding the other way around - it’s come to my attention that a plethora of my art nude work has ended up on similar sites without my consent. What do i do other than send strongly worded messages?

I thought models doing Pay Per View either asked photographers to do a free shoot specifying they wanted pay per view content or paid the photographer?

Kudos to the model for being honest and specifying he/she was going to use them in Pay Per View after being paid for their time, because otherwise you just wouldn't know unless you subscribed to the channel I guess.

It's up to you but if you feel generous you could renegotiate your payment to the model and even a payment to benefit you if the model liked your pics so much. Though I would read the Pay Per Channel  terms and conditions, by allowing the model to use your work on there, it may restrict use of that image elsewhere which could include the copyright holder use, just in case you wanted to use it.

Caitlyn. send a cease and desist, or do a DMCA takedown request has worked for me before ❤️

I think the model has only "asked" for the photos for free, not taken and used them

tandi Caitlyn commented about a different personal experience on the same topic which I replied to. I'm not not responding to the scenario in the original post.

I discuss at the beginning of that I only shoot content shared. If they work for pay then they forfeited the access to images. Keeps it simple that way.

Sorry I didn't see that. But does Caitlyn own the copyright of the images, I thought only the copyright holder/owner can issue a DCMA/Cease and Desist/Notice of Copyright Breach
