Home page gadget: Group image collection

I've switched my home page around recently, to add this gadget. It's cool because I can set it to just about any image group (though I probably have to be a member of the group to be able to pick it). And if I set the Random option then every time I refresh my PP home page I get a fresh randomised set of images from the group.

The downside is that there are loads of great image groups, everything from The Fashion Gallery to Black and White Nudes (I manage a few), and it's a multi-step process to switch which one it should show.

It'd be even better if I could have the gadget randomise which group (probably from a sub-set of the ones I'm a member of rather than all of them) and then pick a random set of images from it, or alternatively if I could have multiple such gadgets on the home page at once (I'd probably opt for only 1 row each in this case).

I haven't a clue what the development and performance costs of either of those might be, but could this be looked at?

Something I forgot to note is that one key reason I like this gadget is that the image groups are almost all curated to some degree, so pretty much any random selection from them is going to be enjoyable to look at.

A great idea although I enjoy the gadget specific to a particular group, so I'm guessing you're asking for a switchable request. On an aside, you can also have the 'images I have loved' gadget and have that random too, but the down side of that is, it has the most distraction as every image that pops up I want to give a click love, only to find out, oh I done it already :) I've change it back now.

One more thought just struck me about this, which could be done independently of any of the above and would make it that little bit nicer on my PP home page: add the name of the group to the gadget's caption.

In case anyone's wondering, my currently selected group is Dance Photography :)
