Adding remote shoots as a category to castings

Why would a photographer spend £thousands on top end camera's and lenses then to do a remote shoot with inferior equipment.
My 2p worth.
Um, thousands of kilometers between me and the model? Most of the remote models I've worked with have been well over 5000 kilometers from me.
Also, some models have had better camera gear than I do, and my kit wasn't particularly cheap. I've worked remotely with Canon R5, Sony A7R IV and A7 IV, plus a bunch of other Canon & Nikon dSLRs and Fuji & Canon mirrorless cameras.
