ID Checks - Do We Need Them?

Alyssa Taylor I am absolutely not supporting school uniform style shoots, I think they are the height of grossness but I think the point he's making is that if they are done with consenting adults then they arnt illegal.

Might be a crime of bad taste but not in the eyes of the law sadly.

FiL I wouldn't go that far. Seems a bit of a generalisation.

I wouldn't shoot it, however. Simply because it's gone completely out of fashion and comes with much more baggage now.

Margo Jost you're very much right, unfortunately it is legal, I just don't think it's ethical or should be allowed on the site especially when 16/17 year olds, minors are present πŸ’œ

Alyssa Taylor probably worth noting as well that it was legal to pose topless at 16 until, I think, 2003. That's how recently things have changed. So again, I think there was less of a stigma about it back then.

I see entirely why it's not fashionable here in 2024.

Here's another thought, does the same apply to photographers? A 17 year old for example, who looks much older could set up a photographer profile and arrange a shoot to take adult level photos. I wonder if that has happened too?

I don't believe he was ever a member of a modelling site, but many here will remember Nick Giles (of Purestorm 'fame') promoting his 16 year old son's photography of nude models which they shot together.

Alyssa Taylor they should dump all photographers who want to do that over to the other site for weirdos and freaks and photographers that want to pay models for sex.

'That other site'... I assume you mean AF. I was on AF for a while, so are you labelling me a weirdo or freak or someone who wants to pay models for sex?

A few of the models I work with are also on AF, so are you labelling them weirdo or freaks? I don't think they'd be very happy about that.

JME Studios It's pedophilic to make a sexually charged shot or flirty shot with an adult wearing a school uniform shot - it's literally sexualising someone depicting a minor 🫣

It’s always been creepy.

Orson Carter there you are jumping the gun Martin, I've told you before about shooting your wad too early. Tsk tsk πŸ˜‰

There's more than one site out there that caters to weirdos, freaks and photographers that pay for models for sex 😏

Btw, I too was on AF for quite a long period of time 😊

Huw at least we don't seem to have those dire school reunions anymore with us all dressed up as 13 year olds.

Fun at the time but definitely dodgy looking back 😬

It's an absolute minefield... I've been catching up with a bit of editing whilst I'm on holiday & had to cull some pictures because to my eyes the model looks borderline or too young in those shots despite being 20.  Even with some of the ones I've kept and edited I'm undecided about posting...

I think one has to apply a bit of context to such things - harking back to our teens is one thing, when it's explicitly about sex it's something else.  These days though it's mostly seen as cringeworthy at best.

This might not fly because you are making a case for 2003 being "recent" when that is, as I understand it, before Alyssa Taylor was born ;-)

Way to go to make some of us feel old.... as if I didn't need reminding after the walk back from the pub ;-)
