There are no plans to hide or deactivate accounts that haven’t been active for some amount of time.

I don't see the need to do anything - when I do a search I usually set the results to be ordered by "Last Active" and can then decide when to stop looking, sometimes I'll only go for a couple of weeks & sometimes a couple of months, alternatively I can set the "Active Within" filter if I want to sort by other means.  Sometimes I'll trawl through a load of images for a bit of inspiration - it doesn't matter how active the model is for that.  A while ago I saw an image of a model that hadn't been on here for ages, but on the off chance I messaged her & got a response...

+1 That has been my experience too. Especially the part in bold.

There's only one reason accounts are kept active and that's so that in advertising PP can claim they have x thousand members to make them look good.  Model Mayhem do the same and I'm sure modelfolio and adult folio do it as well

There were some pictures posted this morning of a model who was at a club night on Wednesday and when I looked at her profile she hadn't logged in for 5 years

There are inactive accounts but I'm not sure why people focus on them. There are plenty of models still active on here spread around the country. I suppose it depends how well your area of choice is doing when it comes to active models, some areas are not modelling hotspots sometimes you may have to do some travelling here and there.

Lenswonder They're only noticed when images pop up in places like someone else's Credits images, or searching for a particular keyword tag, or the Random images page. In this case it can be disappointing to find that the model is identified but inactive. Whether this is worse than not finding the image at all is a question I won't address.

I think I'd feel a bit miffed if I came back to my port after a break away and found it had been "vanished" - I think it should be up to me whether I continue displaying my work or not, irrespective of how often I log in or whether I'm actively seeking work. Certainly so if I'm a paying member.

Use the search filters and the "problem" goes away.

Sensual Art an image of an inactive model isn't much different to an untagged model& there's plenty of those

Sensual Art said, 1728239724

FarmerSteve so the only value you're considering of an image is to be able to identify the model, rather than to appreciate the picture on its own merits?

But it wouldn't have vanished. As soon as you logged back in it would become live again. That was the original way it was going to work anyway. If you went away for a year, or two, it would just hide your account from searches, because you were inactive.

You are looking for someone who you like the look of or like something about them , maybe a talent and you can practically work with them not simply an image. So if the account is inactive you cannot practically work with that person so you look for another.

You can also as some have stated edit the search criteria so you hide the likely inactive accounts.

Sure, but in the mean time it has been invisible and to what end? The point of this escapes me completely. As I see it, my profile, my choice.-

Sorry to be a cynic but not hiding them massages the member numbers for promotional use. Just like many other member only sites.

Its would have been invisible so when people searched for models they got models who were actually active on the site, rather than models who had decided to have a year or five off.
