Has anyone else’s messages changed when replying. Before I would click the box and just be able to type whilst seeing previous messages. Now when I go to reply a separate page comes up to type and you have to then click back to see the message thread and click send.
That's on a mobile device, on a PC it opens up with a font in a random size with weird paragraph spacing. Not good! :-(
Yeah I noticed this earlier too! I'm not a fan, I preferred the old way of messaging - seeing the message I was responding to was helpful! :(

Don't like it either. What was wrong with the previous system. 😕
Not a good idea at all. I like to refer to the message chain. Why fix what isn't broken? This needs changing back ASAP.
Just tried on my tablet computer and I can see the earlier messages as well as the text box.
Just tried on my ipad and the message disappears to reveal the separate entry widget…not a welcome feature.
I dont like the new feature either i would prefer to look at the old message first
It seems to open up an editing window on top of the message page, and is using the new rich editor which works on mobiles. Given that the new rich editor has real advantages when editing profile now with formatting,I think it's half a step forward but also feels like a step backwards.
I do see a blue Back arrow in the top left hand corner which takes me back to the message I'm replying to, complete with the reply I'm entering. Tapping that reply takes me again into the rich editor.
The experience is clunky and I absolutely agree with comments above saying that it's harder to use than what we had before,but I can also see why Russ is going to press ahead with the changes to the new editor. It would just be nicer if the editor was in place on the message page rather than on an overlay.
