Microsoft Copilot AI

Don't you actually have to load and run the program for it to record your actions/ requests etc?
If its just an unclicked icon on the task bar, is the risk still there?

MAndrew they’re still there. Hosted on Facebook though, which may be why

Apple intelligence is now available as a beta release. Seems to link Siri with ChatGPT.
Bugger.
I was considering buying a MacBook if I couldn't delete it from the Windows laptop. My iPad mini 6 can't use AI; the new iPad mini has 8 GB of RAM specifically to use AI, so I may not get one.
On device AI has been in iPads for years. Apple intelligence might be a hosted service (as Siri was originally) or it might be a LLM running locally (which would be very interesting) or a mixture of the two (as Siri is now.)
CoPilot is almost certainly hosted due to the low hardware requirements of Windows. So therefore I imagine there is an inherent data security problem from a legal standpoint.

quick question, who owns the copyright in any A.I generated by any of these A.I images and what can they be used for :-)

Nobody, in general. I use MIdjourney and the company has some stipulations on use. You can use the images however you wish (it's a paid service) but if you are using them commercially on behalf of a company that generates more than $1m annually then you must have at least the £60p/m package.
However, any image I create can be used without repercussions by any other person. That said, not a big deal in my eyes. Exactly like stock imagery really, and since I use a private server to create (and there are at least a couple of million created daily), the chances of anyone getting eyes on with my imagery (not that it's worth stealing) is minimal.

I don't and never will use AI for any sort of creation be that generating whole images or using it generate backgrounds.

You mean you don't use 'gen AI'. You will likely use some AI throughout the image making process, whether you know it or not.

So basically you type in a few keywords, the A.I generates a work of art, or possibly not, which you can use how you wish, but so can anyone else wishing to use the image you keyworded into being generated. So if you add your own artwork to that free to use image, who holds the copyright of that image now?
It's my age, but I hate the idea of A.I, it will stop people learning how to do the work themselves and improve their skills. Eventually the models won't be models and the togs will be typists, though I'm sure everything will be A.I in the future

So if you add your own artwork to that free to use image, who holds the copyright of that image now? It will be the AI. It doesn't superimpose your artwork in, it uses it as a basis.
If you use the PS version and embellish your own photo, to which you own the copyright, then you'd still own the overall copyright.
The idea of AI is amazing. The application can be double-sided. The big image isn't using it, it's the impact it has on the people who would have created it. But, what it will never do, is remove the passion and benefits you personally get from enjoying photography. It just jumps straight to the end result, sans passion.
For example, here's one of my images.
Then for this AI I uploaded my photo and asked it for 'An image of a bride being lit from behind, modelling wedding dress and jewellery'. It's a very different set of images. All far better than I could ever achieve.
