Amazing Value at just £129

Who is it aimed at?

This workshop is for those that may wonder how I do it or want to learn how.

If you don’t know how to set up.

If you struggle once you have set up.

If you have someone always set it up for you. You will learn how.

If your not sure how to deal with a model or nude model.

If you struggle getting T.F deals I will let you into how I do it.

Working with Non Conventional models and New Models- How to direct and manage them.

If you do one workshop this year make it this one, If I had this information when I started then my journey would have been slick and smooth.

Once again working from StudioAtTheStables   in 3 sets for maximum shooting time and lots of chances to shoot different setups.

Free parking and pleanty of space along with multiple glamour style sets to use.

Working in 3 set ups on a rotation there is a dressing table set and a chaise if you wish to use it which we probably will.

Classic page 3 and glamour including full frontal.

from the 70's was classy and as a nod to this I have asked all the models to sport pubic hair fro the shoot even if only a landing strip.

Using one light to get stunning bodyskimming light emphasising curves nipples and general body sculpture with models trying to give it an erotic feel.

We will not be shooting porn or anything too revealing.

Shooting Beauty to Nudes

I have great pleasure in bringing back to Essex the beautiful Melissa Tongue for my next workshop in Essex.

I have worked with Mel before and she is a Highly respected model with over 300 refs and feedback was awesome on the workshop she did.

Mel rarely gets into Essex so this is rare opportunity to shoot her locally.

Mel is tall and learn and looks great in heels and stockings for glamour or semi nudes.

Ruthie is a mature model and completely non sterotypical and has modeled for these many times and has some interesting features that work wonderfully for this.

Ruthie has some health conditions which mean she has limited movement and will model mainly for the erotica sets

This can be shot in almost no space so you can adapt this for shoots in homes and small spaces.

What will I learn?

We will concentrate on the use of one light and Two Lights to deliver stunning images easily for your folio Including two light beauty and two light nudes.

Hair lighting and gels

A default fail safe set up using equipment you could buy for around £300 including backdrop, studio flash and soft box to deliver high quality portraits or 3/4 shots every time!

I will dispel the myths and I will show you how to use just one light  to deliver stunning images working from beauty to nude.

You will be amazed at how easy it can be and just a few tweaks to your technique could be all you need to deliver what you are after from the images you take.

There are too many "almost" great images that pop up on PP which are poorly lit and out of focus and I will show you what I look for when shooting images to ensure impact and make your images noticed.

I will show a default lighting set up for the basics of any good lighting and then we will use different modifiers to change the lighting feel.

This will include shooting the same sets on black, white and grey backgrounds to see the differences and different feels.

What will you go away with?

A wide selection of diverse images and the knowledge how to set it up.

How Much shooting time will I get?

Enough, realistically you wont end up with a shed load of images like a normal shoot, although I hope by using two/3 models you get much more shoot time and half the down time so it's great value. In addition you get the opportunity to shoot a diversity of styles probably unparallel in a workshop.

Will I be able to shoot like you afterwards

You will be able to shoot like YOU but much better afterwards. We all have different equipment, editing software, taste, style etc and I liken it to cooking -no two people ever produce exactly the same result when cooking a recipe it always looks or tastes slightly different and that's the uniqueness in all of our work. However, You will know what you need to know to develop yours!

What do I get afterwards?

After the shoot you will get access to a drop box folder including a 100 page PowerPoint painstakingly put together which covers all the process from photographer etiquette and behaviour and selecting models to the theoretical physics in layman’s terms.

What do I need?

A digital SLR or hybrid with a 50mm lens minimum and bring everything else.

What do I need to know about my camera? -This is important and will ensure you get the most from the day!

How to change aperture and shutter speeds.

How to take the camera off auto white balance and I will show you how to meter white balance for true colour rendition.

Understand if your camera allows you to present any settings and store them. Nikons have a U1 and U2 setting on the higher models.

Will you stop people hogging the model?

Yes I am very disciplined on these things and will not allow one photographer to monopolise the day.

What about the scary physics?

Reciprocity Failure (Ressa what!?) and how to make it work for you- I spent years not understanding it and how it works and shied away from it-Then I had an epiphany and now I use it to assist me all the time.

I will show you how to deliver black backgrounds and soft images with little effort.

What Is Covered?

You will be working in a group alongside other photographers of a similar knowledge level, in this instance a number in each set.

I now shoot mostly in model’s homes and most of the images listed here are shot that way -no fully professional studios.

If you shoot mostly at home or have limited equipment this is the workshop for you.

I will cover:

Modifiers depending on the effect and lighting in the studio.

I also Cover:

Model and Photographer etiquette including sourcing models and dos and don'ts so you always look professional something some people struggle with.

Planning and Ideas for you to achieve what you are after

Comms and how not to come across as a GWC so the model has faith in you. What good comms look like and what not to say!

I will show you how to shoot 1 light beauty using feathering in an unconventional style that I use.

There is no such thing as "correct exposure" only "pleasing exposure" and no piece of your equipment has ever made a creative decision...I rarely use a light meter to do anything!

If your mainly shoot at home then you cannot miss this.

Working with the beautiful and highly experienced model(s) they will assist me with the lighting and demonstrate the suitable poses and angles and will be on hand to ask questions of about anything model related.

Please Paypal to p.amey@ntlworld.com to assure your place.

Please include your PP name in the message so I can identify you properly.

Balances due no less than 3 weeks before the start date please.

Cost will be £129 per photographer with numbers limited to 6 photographers ensure your enjoyment and minimise down time.

a £30 deposit will seal your place and the last workshop I completed was full. Please note that your place is not secure until you pay a deposit and add yourself to the attending list. If you cant attend and I find a replacement I will give your deposit back as that’s fair.

Simply adding yourself to the attending list will not guarantee you a place only a deposit will do that and I have previously turned people away when deposits have come after the spaces have filled.

Cancelling (You or Me)

These days are fickle to fill and there are costs upfront hence deposits to secure places.

In the off chance it does not fill I have agreed with all parties that a decision will be made normally two weeks out from the shoot if there is a shortfall in costs and I will cancel if costs are not at least break even.

I will run these on a break even or better basis and 2 weeks gives everyone room to re-book and deposits returned.

Should you pay and then not be able to make it I will refund your deposit IF I can find a replacement for you this is fair and reasonable.

If a model pulls out I reserve the right to replace the model with a suitable equivalent of my choice and you will generally be given the choice to continue-this is rare but I have had one instance.

The Attending Photographers Shown On Here is not accurate as some have said they attending but have not paid.

I also arrange Photographers from Other sites.
