I am pleased to announce a Levitation workshop

for the first Sunday, the 4th of November at an incredible gothic themed hotel

on the IOW for £57 including a buffet lunch.

I've made it one of my life's ambitions to seek out locations that compliment my work as a concept photographer.  When I was looking for somewhere to stay on the Isle of Wight, I came across this Hotel, and this location really blew my mind in terms of possibilities.  I spoke to the management, they liked my work and my approach in trying to organise an event that was not out of the reach of photographer's budgets.  As a way of helping me achieve this, they have thrown open their doors for one day.  There will be no guests staying at the Hotel that day, so within reason, we have the run of the place.  The Hotel have agreed to provide a buffet lunch for £7 per head (included in the fee), and no more than 2 photographers will shoot with each model at a time.  I will be bringing my lights, and modifiers and all you need is your camera (and triggers if you have an unusual hot shoe).  You don't need to shoot concept as this great venue lends itself to a few different possibilities.  Sessions are divided up as follows:

MORNING @ 9:30 -12  (with lunch after)

AFTERNOON @ 12:45 - 3:15 (arrive for lunch at 12)

The cost works out at just under £25 per hour which I think is very good value.  BUT, I need to confirm this venue ASAP so I aim to try and get numbers sorted as soon as possible, so if you're interested, please get your name in the hat.

For further clarification, I will be happy to provide further details or answer any questions you may have, but basically, photographers will book either a morning or afternoon session.

Each session will be preceded with half an hour of tuition from me to help prepare you to shoot a levitation or concept shot.  However, as I said, it's such a striking and unusual venue, photographers will be encouraged to shoot according to their taste.  As you can see from the images, gothic runs right through the heart of this building and our models will be bringing outfits to reflect this, as well as standard fashion.

In order to pay the venue and the models, I am looking for 8 photographers to book and reserve.  Please state whether you prefer a morning or afternoon session. You will need to pay the full price at booking and commit to being available on that date. Please also bear in mind, this is about technique, lighting, concept and it is not about shooting sheer or nude.

As an incentive, the first three that book and pay in full will get a free lift over to the island as I am taking my car over.  This is my 4th workshop and by and large, the emphasis is on fun, learning and having a chance to shoot with terrific models in terrific venues.
