PS: OFFER OF STUDIO FOR £20/hr - Brian of Centre Studio has very kindly offered a place to shoot in the city centre for £20/hr (in addition to my modelling fee) - I have cut and pasted an excerpt from his message to me below with details of the studio and how to get there etc along with a link to his PurplePort profile
"For sure, you can mention the studio is available, address is CentreStudio, 36-40 Scotswood Road, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE4 7JD, Mobile No is best 07808 471 924
As far as direction go - come out the front of the station and turn left, walk along the front of the station (it is like a huge Victorian Terrace). When that ends you will see immediately in front of you the Centre For Life. It has a large plaza in the middle which you walk diagonally across (45Deg left) and come out the other end at a traffic crossing with a Pub called Sunset Boulevard in front of you. Cross the road and follow the road to the left, away from the Centre for Life towards the large modern buildings (which is a combination of apartments, offices AND Jury's Inn. If you keep walking along the right hand side of the road you have Sunset Boulevard, followed by The Yard, The Bank and the Dancing Peppermill (Don't Laugh!!).....walk another 50 yards to the Parking Ticket Dispenser and you will be right outside my studio. Look directly over the road and you will see a small road which leads into the Jury's Inn complex.....sounds a lot, but actually it is only a 3 or 4 minute walk".
PSS: I also do half and full shoots at my lovely 1930s style home just South of Leeds if that is of interest.....
