Fitness shoot in a converted grade II church hall... with a hint of neon.

My sister owns a grade II church hall, and it even has a shooting gallery in the basement which was created to rehabilitate soldiers from the, first world war, i think... don't quote me on that - one of the major wars!?  That's now a 'Zombie Hunt' that my bro-in-law created.. but anyhow, I digress.  It's a stunning building that my sister converted into Beach Body Fitness Studio.

As a PT and bikini body competitor, my sister turned it into more of a free weights 'fitness studio' than a boring old gym, and along with its listed structure, there's a few rooms and plenty of scope for awesomeness at my disposal; so I've always been tempted to use it as such!  It has plenty of natural light through big windows, so i'd be thinking a bit later in the day so we can have a typical moodier, stronger, lower-key vibe.  Having said that, there is a much smaller room upstairs which has its own colour scheme and is full of more low-impact equipment; it's brighter and airier with a softer feel, which could be used prior too.. depending of course if your build suits such a vibe - if you're ripped, it may look a little silly.

To top this off, I also have an ongoing collaboration with a neon company that did my custom sign (with us being a studio with a neon wall n all, it seemed an apt partnership - they also do the I'm a celeb neons), so from time to time I shoot their signs and get paid in signs as a result... not so much tfp as tfs i guess!  Anyways, the one sign they've provided me with is a "feel the burn" one which could be an excellent prop for such a shoot, so what better time to head over to my sister's studio and finally arrange a fitness styled shoot there, and all while adding context to the sign.  Free unique space, free proppage, I bring me, the lights etc, you bring you and your skills, and we share the images amongst us.. win win win!  I mean I could shoot my sister, but i'd prefer to have a little more experience in front of the camera if someone out there who does both is willing.

The studio is in Denbigh, North Wales.  She has classes most (if not every) weekday evenings, but I believe for the most part Saturday and Sunday's are free later in the day, but we can of course double-check logistics and such nearer the time!
