Worldwide Remote Shoots

Remote shooting enables you (the photographer) to sit in the comfort of your own home, whilst I sit in mine. Firstly, it's not as daunting as it sounds and secondly if you have any questions at all, please message me. I can accommodate any time of day so if work or time zones don't match up, we can work around it! This is a fantastic way to shoot with models too far away for it to be practical under normal circumstances and also gives us the chance for an introductory shoot prior to any real shoots that might finally take place in the coming months!  

As long as there is good communication the shoot will run like any 'proper' shoot would. You still get to direct and plan your set, outfits and look. It's the easiest and safest way to shoot during the current circumstances. You don't need any experience in remote shooting to give it a go, it really is as simple as pressing two buttons - I can explain everything beforehand! 

What is a tethered shoot?

Using a tethering cable, I will link my camera up to my laptop, launch Digicam Control (my tethering software) and share my screen with you via Zoom. I am then able to hand over remote control to you so you have access to all of the camera settings you normally would (aperture, ISO, shutter speed, focal point etc), you're in complete control. You also own the copyright to the images. All images captured will save directly to my laptop and will then be sent to you via Dropbox link after the shoot has finished! I aim to deliver the images within an hour, but this time will vary depending on how many images are taken.

The Equipment I Can Provide:

- Nikon D750 with a 50mm Nikon 1.8 lens, Sigma 85mm 1.4 art lens, Nikon 24-120mm kit lens & Sigma 35mm 1.4 art lens. 

- Full Elinchrom studio strobes, x3 Nikon SB700 speed lights

- 150cm soft box/with grid, 140cm soft box & 120cm soft box/with grid

- 3 in 1 rogue snoots x2, beauty dish, reflectors, barn doors, gels etc 

What do you (the photographer) need?

A laptop/computer, Zoom, good WiFi & a comfortable place to sit. You should be able to communicate with me via Zoom so you'll need a microphone and ideally a camera so we can see each other! A mobile phone/tablet will NOT work. It goes without saying the Zoom call should not be recorded.

When & Price?

Let me know what suits you & we can match up! 

My rate is £100 for 2 hours up to tasteful art nude or if you would prefer assistance J Black Photographic will act as your eyes & hands, quickly adjusting lights, lenses, positions etc maximising our shooting time! He's also able to hold the camera in positions the tripod wouldn't otherwise accommodate (short while). You can book us together for £140! Having another person on hand (from experience) is useful and enables us to get through more sets, being more efficient with time!

The Spaces

Although working with a relatively small space, you'll be surprised at what can be created. This album shows images captured in my home! I have lots of sets available that have not yet been used/photographed but these are the 3 main spaces with mini sets available within these! When messaging me to arrange a remote shoot, please let me know which areas you'd like to shoot in, they're in different areas of my home so I'll need to work out the best shoot plan.
