Welcome / Croeso to Splash Point Photo

We've had a cancelation for Saturday, and off the back off lockdown, we have plenty of times in which we can accommodate those wanting to hire the studio.  We can also welcome back those from over the border in England.  Please check your tier restrictions, but ultimately, those working can travel all the same!

The studio is £20ph, and let me introduce you to a few of our features if you're new to us.

In the Studio:



L-R:  Free-floating steps up to the balcony.  Rope Swing.  5.3M infinity curve




L-R & T-B:  Coloured papers.  MUA desk / set.  Neon Wall.  A myriad of lighting and modifiers


The Hallway




Please be advised that the hallway is now Christmassy as per the last photo!

Other House Areas

 


We have a few other places around the house we allow people to shoot in too, however, they may be a bit more personal such as our snooker meets library room and front room.


The Boudoir



Quite literally my room, it's pretty natural with modern shelving, natural light from a Velux in the ceiling and also a cream corner couch.  If you spring this one on us, please bring a white sheet so you have fresh ones!  If you give us enough notice, we'll aim to have at least a white mattress cover clean for the shoot.

The Pool

Heated swimming pool.  No shallow-end, and the water line is about 5'2".  Natural light from one wall. Ambient lighting in the pool its self.  I have two battery-powered studio lights that can be used within the pool area, but obviously, it goes without saying, that you need to be beyond careful.  And yes I can assist and move around lighting for you if you'd prefer me too.  Your camera will probably not be insured for water damage assuming you have standard insurance, so factor in that risk any time you shoot near water.  Lenses may need to acclimatise to the room - it gets hot as soon as the switch is flipped as the cover comes off!


Location - Rhyl, North Wales

 
We are literally over the road from the beach.. a small walk from Rhyl train station.. not far from the marina and small dunes.. are down the road from the "I'm a Celebrity" castle in one direction.. and about the same again to talacre Lighthouse and bigger dunes in the other... I mean it's North Wales, we're surrounded by mountains and castles, and the odd orme with wild goats and seals..
