Remote Shooting

At Trident Studio, we have one of the most advanced and complete remote shooting set-ups in the UK. This means, that as a model, you can now work with photographers from anywhere on the planet!

If you can get yourself to the studio, then this is a service that you can now offer when creating castings, sharing your availability etc.

We're obviously in a difficult situation at the moment, so being able to work with photographers that are isolating, or just really far away is a great way to keep this industry ticking over. And even moving forward, this set-up has proved so popular that we will still be offering remote shooting opportunities once some normality has returned.

If you would like to book the studio on this basis, you would be looked after by photographer Chris Conway - he will be able to create lighting based on your remote photographer's moodboard or direction, and then be on-hand to change composition of the camera, make changes to lighting etc as you go.

The cost for this service is just £25 per hour, the usual studio hire price is £20ph - so this really is a bargain, especially considering that we are the best equipped studio available in Devon & Cornwall. Your own rate will need to be added on top - or you can even do this for TFP shoots if you wish.

Individual bookings will need to be a minimum of 4 hours, but can be broken down as you wish (2x 2hr, 4x 1hr etc).

We are happy to take payment / deposits from photographers to secure bookings.

So, at the moment, we are offering this to models in 2 ways... you can advertise this service yourself, push for castings, Facebook posts etc to advertise your remote availability at the studio. Or, we are also looking to create a list of models that we can advertise to photographers that are looking to shoot remotely.

How does it work?

It really is incredibly simple from the photographer's end. On the day, they will be sent a link to our Zoom meeting where they will take control of our tethering system at the studio. They will have a wide view of the studio via a webcam, and then a live view of what our Sony A7R3 camera sees so that they can judge composition etc before hitting a button to take the photo.
