Prom Dress fundraiser - free use of prom dresses in return for a fundraising donation

In the summer of 2019, a lady from Brighton, Emma Green founded Prom Dreams with the intention of supporting local students from disadvantaged backgrounds whose families were unable to afford to purchase or rent dresses or suits to enable their Year 11 children to attend their end of year prom. And in July 2019 a number of young people, referred by their schools, were able to take advantage of the generosity shown by so many other people.  Emma was featured on Meridian TV - VIDEO - BBC Radio Sussex and in the Argus.

In October of that year I offered to photograph the entire collection for her website ... and then discovered that she didn't have one.  So I wrote it for her, and here it is: https://www.promdreams.co.uk 

Nobody could have foreseen the pandemic which put a stop to all prom plans in 2020, nor could Emma have foreseen just how many outfits and accessories that she needed to store, so between us we've come up with the idea to offer ANY student who missed out on their prom in 2020, or anyone, (not just models), from this website, the chance to be photographed in one of Prom Dreams' dresses or suits by me, or by any photographer hiring Hangleton Lane Studio at Ferring in West Sussex, with the dresses and suits offered for use free of charge, on the strict understanding that clients will be asked to pay for any photos they order.

For photos I personally shoot I am donating the profits to Prom Dreams to cover at least some of the cost of storage, running repairs and insurance for Prom Dreams' stock.  Any photographer, model, mua etc hiring the studio and using one or more of the outfits here is asked to make a voluntary donation on top of the studio hire fee.

To do this I am asking all members of this site, photographers, models, muas, stylists and so on, to offer to their social media contacts and friends, parents of students who'd like to have a fun prom photo shoot at or near the studio on the outskirts of Worthing, West Sussex to contact me here, or directly through my website – https://www.hl-studio.co.uk – by email on hello@hl-studio.co.uk – or through my studio's Facebook page – LINK, rather than contacting Prom Dreams.

I have well over 150 Prom Dreams' outfits in store and students can choose their ideal outfit. For the girls dresses from size 4 to 22 are available and boys of all shapes, sizes and heights can be accommodated.

This offer is running from the October half term until shortly before Christmas, (and may be extended), subject to relevant COVID-19 restrictions, of course.

I'm also offering the services of the Photoshop artists who created this image, Mohammed Rokibul in Bangladesh and Kimipoi in the Philippines, from the six originals, (the five girls shot individually in the studio and the south cloister at Lancing College Chapel which I photographed separately), at cost.

Hangleton Lane Studio is a commercial studio with full commercial public liability insurance, a full COVID-19 policy in place and complies with all current restrictions.  A copy of the studio's COVID-19 policy will be provided to all attendees in advance of visiting the studio.
