The Creativity Hub presents the D-Day Darlings 
Saturday 26th + Sunday 27th September

Set in a 1940s house with a WWII bunker, the "Land Girls" are keeping the homes fed and the machines running.
Come and immerse yourself in Britains history.

It's 1944, a week before the final preparations of Operation Overlord and the Normandy Landings.
As men from all over the country join the fight against fascism, Britain’s wartime women are gaining a new sense of power. 

These are the girls that are going to war.
These are our home front warriors in starched aprons. 

The Location: 
The Cottage was built in the spring of 1940 for the Women’s Land Army or ‘land girls’, these were the young women
working in agriculture to help the war efforts.

Presented in 1940's style and featuring authentic details, true to the era; an enamelled range, functioning radiogram, claw-foot roll top bath
and even an Anderson shelter in the garden!

Safe from the threat of the Nazi Luftwaffe, it is ready for us to take a creative trip to yesteryear and honour the 76th D Day anniversary.
