 An art ‘Homage’ refers to an act of showing respect or tribute towards a painting or artist where the artist adopts the content or features of another artist or work as a mark of respect.

This is a TFP casting call for models interested in something completely different and unique for their portfolio. We will be recreating some paintings from the past with a 21st-century adaptation.

Valentina_The Black Pearl is our lead model and will be assisting in the choreography of each scene-setting in relation to the models. AndyD10 is our photographer. Dermot Williams is our artist. We will have the task of recreating, in modern style, some of the best-known paintings from the past.

Homages are not a new concept and many artists have undertaken to recreate old masters. We plan to recreate the Turkish Baths by Ingres, The Birth of Venus by Botticelli, Edward Manet’s Luncheon on the Grass and Olympia. The format will be as follows:

1. Photography will be completed first, to capture the scenes.
2. Oil Paintings on Canvas will be done from these scenes.

This is not the type of project that comes along every day.
