I'd like to try to recreate this painting: L'Origine du monde by Courbet (Wikipedia).
So, the model must be willing to pose as in the image hence open leg (and maybe some variations on the theme).
Ideally will have natural pubic hair, the more natural the better. I might consider the complete opposite: totally shaved. In between, e.g. landing strips, are not preferred.
No tattoos or piercing, neither were common in 1866.
Skin and hair colour is totally flexible and need not match the original model.
Most other body characteristics are flexible but a strong preference for natural.
Anonymity is acceptable.
Preferably in the Midlands. Ability to shoot at home will be a significant advantage.
I am willing to pay but I don't have an unlimited budget. I would be happy for you to use the results here in Purple Port. Maybe other non-profit use as well but let me know if you would want this.
When applying, please include your rates, whether or not you can shoot from home, and nearby locations or studios that we may be able to use.
This theme would suit a home shoot as it does not require a lot of space. A double bed would be a suitable size though it must not be very soft since if you sink into it then it will spoil the pose. A futon would be ideal. A similar size piece of floor would be suitable provided that you are willing to lie on it. I will bring the material needed for the shoot. I will also bring lighting.
I have now attempted this project twice but I am interested to try again: both to get it more accurate and to get a variety of models. I would like a series of versions with a variety of models. Remember, you will need to adopt the pose but you don't need to match the model, variety is good.
My first attempt was edited by Malbon to make it more like the original. I will probably request this again occasionally.
