The Idea

As you can see on my port I enjoy shooting any textures that are notoriously difficult to photograph especially shiny, reflective materials which all came about after photographing latex for a designer the first time a year or so ago. I find that if these textures are creatively lit then some amazing images can be made.

To that avail I want to try to push these boundaries as far as I can with a themed shoot entitled Gloss, befitting of the dictionary definition above.

Details

I want to go all out on this with regard to the set-up and style. This will probably be studio based and I’m looking into gathering together some backgrounds and textures that will be suitable.

Wardrobe is something I don’t have so I’m looking for those of you who have suitable garments in your collection already. Doesn’t have to be expensive latex can be standard PU/Vinyl from boohoo/ebay or whatever providing it fits the gloss theme. The more to choose from the better. I’m thinking, glossy heels, wet look leggings, leather jackets, lip gloss, mirrors, iridescence, glitter, WTF anything you can think of!!!

If you have the above what I’m looking for in terms of you as a model is, attitude, confidence and an enthusiasm for creating something different. The finished piece may err on the side of fashion with hint of glam and given the alternative nature of the subject matter, those of you on punk/alt scene may be interested too.

Remuneration

As per my profile I shoot TF only on PP. HOWEVER, given that this is my idea (and I’m quite enthusiastic about it as you can probably tell) I’m willing to go the extra mile for those of you who are keen to work with me on this. Got the look but not the wardrobe? We can discuss sourcing clothing in your size which you’d get to keep. Got all of the above but live too far away? I can contribute to travel. Done all this before and think I’m mad? Probably all of you ;-)

Finally…

I’m still formulating ideas in my head for this but wanted to post a casting to see who might be interested and if any of you have ideas for the theme you might like to share, therefore there are no set dates for this although I will probably think about shooting something towards the end of the month. Also, if the feedback is strong then I may look at setting up several shoots with various models in order to make this a more cohesive art series and maybe look at approaching pic desks for publication etc.

All of these a big IFs and buts but I’m going to hand it over to you guys to see what you think.
