Hi all,
Carl here from Stand Out Studio. I'm now only shooting one TF session a month so this will be last TF shoot of 2018! To mix things up a little for my last TF of the year I am collaborating with Psyren, a Bristol based designer. Psyren is an alternative brand specialised for the unique and alternative at heart. Handcrafted, custom designed clothing, hardware, and accessories. Psyren aims to empower freak fashion by creating alternative body armour and accessories that turns heads!
The Shoot
From the designer I have received some chokers, a couple of body harnesses that go around the chest, and a high waisted belt - check out the Psyren Facebook Page for examples. I'm looking for a model that is comfortable in wearing this kind of gear. It's not something I've photographed before personally but I think the designs will work well with my style of shooting, examples of which are on my profile. My plan is to shoot dark and contrasty images on black backgrounds and use creative shadows and masking to hide/highlight certain areas, as well as introducing some gels which has become a portfolio staple for my work. The images from the shoot will be shared on PP, Instagram, Facebook and the new Psyren website which is currently under construction.

Photography is my full-time career so this will be a three way collaboration between you the model, me the photographer and Psyren the designer.
I always treat TF jobs just as professionally as paid work. As a former press photographer I work quickly and efficiently meaning you'll receive a good selection (normally around 20) of high res, edited and retouched images within two/three working days of the shoot for use on you online profiles and social media. I require a signed release from all models whether paid/TF, so please do not apply if you are not comfortable signing a model release. You can see from some of the most recent shoots on my profile that there are at least four/five different styles/locations each, which means a diverse selection of portfolio material from a 2/3 hour shoot.
About me
I'm a full-time commercial photographer and have been so for almost a decade, (more info on me here) and am the director of Stand Out Studio Ltd. Stand Out Studio is a purpose built 500 sq ft photography and video studio which is located in a former textile mill. There is an array of different industrious/natural looking areas nearby that I use regularly for commercial work so if you want to factor in some other looks for an hour or so during the shoot to expand on you current portfolio I'm happy to accommodate that too.
