Camera Club Fashion Group–6.00-9.00pm -Thursday 26 APRIL 2018

The Camera Club is the oldest photographic club in the UK, it operates from premises in Kennington, South London and is a 5-10 minute walk from Kennington tube station.

The fashion group is run by Michael Colman and meets on a monthly basis for 9 sessions a year from September until May the following year. It usually runs on a Thursday from 6.00 to 9pm with shooting starting between 6.15 and 6.30pm.

The group consists of 6 to 8 photographers plus group leader. The photographer’s shoot for 2 minutes for each of the four/five set ups but is flexible dependant on group numbers.

We need 4 participants to cover costs of this session. We provisionally book models two – four weeks ahead and confirm the booking six days prior to the date of the shoot to give the model reasonable notice in the event of cancellation.

Some photographers will give more direction than others and the fashion group is often a starting point for photographers working individually with models on their own projects.

Costumes, styling and the look will be discussed before the shoot so that we have a set list to work from at the studio. It is likely that these ideas will evolve with the influences of the group to create a fluid creative process.

It is expected that the models will provide the costumes, hair and make-up. We expect to see and discuss costumes prior to shoot. The studio has an iron and ironing board so that clothes can be look their best for the shoot.

We will pay £80 cash for the shoot payable on the night.
