My Saturday & Sunday availability at The Studland Weekender

Hi everyone I'm now only available on Saturday PM for 2 hours (19th Nov) & Sunday PM (20th Nov) for 4 hours.

The last time I was here was in 2014, so I am itching to go back there and shoot there once again. Last time such beautiful images were created. It's a beautiful house, with many rooms and the event itself has a great social atmosphere. 3 days of shooting in this fabulous 19th century country coastal manor house fronting the famous Studland Bay with its miles of sandy beaches and temperate micro-climate in deepest Dorset.

The House has been renovated, yet retains many of its original features including an oak panelled hall and staircase purloined from Milton Abbey, there are 8 double bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, Hall, 2 landings, 3 reception rooms and the cricket pavilion for indoor shoots. This allows 17 distinct shooting areas whatever the weather.If the weather is fine there are balconies, terraces, gorgeous gardens overlooking the sea and glades, woods, streams and many features in the gardens as well as the beach.Therefore I plan on no more than 10 photographers, each with an allowance of 2 models to share this wonderful venue for each day.The purpose of the day is to have a safe and enjoyable experience in beautiful surroundings with like-minded persons creating the best quality photographs we are capable of. These occasions are an excellent networking opportunity.For those of you who have never attended a Studland Shoot before a few tips and pointers:

Evening meals are usually agreed at the time by consensus. Sometimes a takeaway from Swanage can be collected (no one delivers as far out in the boondigs as SBH!). The local pub - the Bankes Arms does simple and solid fare and is often where we end up. Swanage does have some rather more sophisticated eateries - like Italian food!

Occasionally a Studland Weekender coincides with a band at the Village Hall - always rather awesome and great fun. The 'Wessex Pistols' were particularly enjoyable (hillbilly punk). People even danced!

There is a shop in the village if you want tobacco, wine or biscuits. Anything else requires a trip to Swanage (which has shops).

I lay on a breakfast of bacon rolls and croissants with unlimited tea and coffee throughout the whole weekend.

The grounds extend to some 30 acres or so, although the private garden is more like 2 acres. Nudity is permitted throughout the grounds as long as consideration is given to others who might be using them (guests at Knoll House Hotel have access). Within the private garden there are no restrictions at all on nudity.

rulesI like to keep rules to a minimum. Please read them carefully before asking questions.1. Photographers please register your interest. Both experienced and beginner photographers are invited to apply. Only post your interest on this forum - I will not be able to reply to personal mails - it takes too long!

2. I choose which photographers get to go, I'll post the list of successful applicants in a couple of weeks3. Each successful photographer may bring 2 models (per day). It is entirely up to you who these models are and how you renumerate them.4. Make up artists are invited to apply to attend on the basis that you 'set up shop' and sell your skills. You will set your own tariffs. 5. Due to a few flakes on previous shoots payment must be received 3 weeks before the event to secure a place. Anyone who has not placed a payment by this date will unfortunately lose their place and it will be re-offered.6. Models are invited to express an interest on this thread, I will place all names on a list - this may assist photographers in choosing who they 'sponsor'. Please do not mail me directly, I cannot respond - it will take too long.7. Rooms will not be allocated - I expect you to behave with politeness and consideration, not to 'hog' the best rooms and to make every effort to change location at least 3 times during the day to allow others access.8. Photographers 'sponsored' models - whether TF* or paid, the agreements you have with your model(s) are your own affairs. 9. Boorish, ill-mannered, argumentative or pushy people are not welcome and will be asked to leave with no hope of a refund.10. Nudity - nudity is permitted in all areas of the house and grounds, except where it may be seen by others - ie, if there are people in the Huff Hauses I would ask that nudity is avoided directly in front of them - otherwise its fine and nudity is also permitted on the beach past the sign saying 'You may see nudists after this point', however, photography may be frowned upon in such a sensitive area and caution is strongly advised. I know this is pretty obvious - but after recent debacles at other venues it seems that common sense and respect cannot be assumed.

11. Priority on overnight accommodation to 'Weekender' photographers. Many models do stay over too and can share a room with other models if they wish. Cost of room is £30/night and can be split between 2 or even 3 models if rooms are available. I cannot guarantee model accommodation until a week or two before the event I'm afraid. However, in the past we have always fitted them all in.

12. Successful applicants can form a 'team' as follows, including themselves: 1 photographer, 2 models and a stylist/mua

The cost will be £120 each of the 12 places ....OR....Special Weekender Deal - start anytime after 9am Friday, stay til 5pm Sunday, shoot as much as you like, have a private bedroom, enjoy the evening social stuff for only £350!
