So we have been wanting to shoot for quite a while and Richard got in contact with me last minute and wasn’t I happy!!!

I was invited to great big house with plenty of space, clean, tidy and with some character.

I had a lovely time shooting, varkman was very professional, easy to talk to, good listener and with a bit of banter :) However, most importantly after he took the shots he let me look at the back of the camera and they looked awesome.

I shot with Richard for the first time today in a beautiful house in Birmingham, there was so much to work with and we got some really great shots.

Pre comms were so clear and I bought along as much as I could, sadly we didn't get to shoot much of it as the shoot had to be cut short due to me feeling suddenly ill.

Richard was so understanding and insisted that I go home and rest, instead of carrying on.

He was an absolute pleasure to talk to and work with, I'm just sorry that I had to leave early and would be more than happy to make up for it some other time.

100% recommended. :)

Richard is a great photographer and a very friendly and professional guy to work with.

This being my first shoot I arrived fairly nervous and feeling jittery, but within 15 minutes of chatting to Richard over a cup of tea I felt calm and excited to get started. He is a great communicator, very positive and at the same time gives detailed, very useful advice. I felt confident working with him throughout the shoot and very happy with the results. Would recommend to any model who is just staring out.

Fantastic pre communication; I had a lovely time exploring a cool building and taking amazing shots in unusual places!

Not only do I see him a dear friend, but also as an immense creative artist, so many cool ideas, vision and the master of light. He's a true wonder, and excellent company, super respectful. It was a pleasure to shoot with Richard – I could not imagine a better photographer to have a photoshoot with after my modelling hiatus.

Richard made me comfortable from the start, with clear communication before and during the photoshoot.

Upon arrival, he showed me around the location, and I was welcome to share my ideas -Richard made me feel heard and respected. I deeply value the inspiring collaborative atmosphere he created during the shoot. He has a brilliant work ethic - with his eye for detail, he puts deep thought and quality into each picture. I appreciate the way he shared his insight and tips. It is clear that he is knowledgeable in this profession.

Have shot with Varkman several times over the last few years, and every shoot has been bloody brilliant - this shoot last week was that and more!

We had use of a beautiful indoor location for a few hours, a well lit place, with endless rooms, so many amazing places to shoot. Once we'd done a bit of catching up and coffee, we made use of the available light streaming through the window, creating some epic mono nudes, found a rather large beautiful fireplace to curl up on, did some sharp suits and poofy skirts on a spectacular staircase, got arty with a couple of torches, amongst so many cool ideas. The pictures are fucking stunning!

Varkman is a lovely human, patient, artistic, friendly, respectful and ultimately, an absolute diamond of a soul. Would highly recommend to all models and creatives.

I love this guy! He is soo nice and such a clever man. He was very organised and communicated effectively before the shoot ,he kept the models comfort as his priority and his angles are just on point.

We shot in a big place with lots of different styles and rooms ,it was fantastic. Varkman suggested sets and ideas that other photographers wouldnt have dared to shoot . He is a lighting master ! Never has I seen such technique,using torches and manipulation of lighting around the room and even a fly catcher light!

On top of the lighting ,his input is insane and he knows how to shoot a model..

Awwww hes super nice also ,will give you adequate breaks and genuinely good to talk to . Great guy and I really hope weve an oppurtunity to work again !!!

I applied for Varkman’s casting and was delighted when he got in touch. It was arranged at very short notice but pre comms were spot on.

I was given plenty of information on the location so I was able to bring along lots of things that we could shoot thee.

On arrival I was greeted and shown around, and instantly I was at ease and really excited to get shooting.

Varkman is fantastic!! His use of natural light is just amazing. I was blown away with how stunning the images were that I was shown on the boc, This enabled me to pose more freely knowing exactly what we were capturing.

We literally smashed every set that we worked through. It was fantastic and I can praise Varkman enough on his use of the light available.

I thoroughly enjoyed the entire shoot and look forward to working together again

I had an outstanding shoot today with Varkman on a amazing secret location. Mums the word on this and I ain't telling ;) Was a rare opportunity for him and myself to be shooting in such a place or its stature.

He is extremely welcoming and offered me a wrapped from the shop snacks and coffee through permitting to the 2 metre rules.

The location had fantastic features of Edwardian/Georgian with amazing windows and immense light coming through all over the building, right up my street!

I love the photography and style he captures using rim lighting and back lighting. The time flew by and in-between shooting we had breaks and really long talks of many things. I quite enjoyed the day and excited to know he Is booking me again for another shoot on Tuesday! You would very happy to have the opportunity to work with him as he Is a true gentleman :) Making a model feel comfortable is always important in my opinion and I couldn't have come home from a shoot feeling more positive with the day together and the beautiful images we captured.

We shot in the garden around the autumn shrubbery and trees and also a lovely bench along the courtyard.

We both shared loads of ideas quickly and paced around using the architecture of the building to do fine art nude posing.

I am really looking forward to our next shoot and I hope this isn't the only time I get to work with Varkman. More than 100% recommend him to other models alike. Thank you for an amazing day and it was wonderful to meet you, until next time :)
